Re: CHL and Open Carry Question

Yes, Yes it does - You have to look like an LEO from now on, even your pajamas should be blue, have a star on the front and a single stripe down each leg. Psssst, having handcuffs is optional. Makes sense? I thought so. Next question please. Very clever way of evading the issue. Somehow, I think yo...

Re: CHL and Open Carry Question

" I can see that is perfectly reasonable for a LEO to see a man with a gun as worthy of investigation especially in this day and age. " I don't agree with that at all. You don't see police routinely pulling people out of cars to prove they have a driver license. Absent other evidence of criminal be...

My employer (hence the screen name) prohibits guns in the building AND the parking lot.

S&W 686 Plus

Just started looking at this gun on youtube etc.
What are your opinions (if any) about it, and do
you think it is suitable for a EDC weapon?

DUI

Does a DUI mean the loss of your CHL if you were not in possession of your firearm at the time of the infraction?

By the way.......I don't plan to ever find out!! :cheers2:

Dry Fire

Can you dry-fire a semi auto with an empty magazine in place, or will the slide
stay open when you rack it?

Pocket Carry

The manual that comes with an Uncle Mike's pocket holster suggests not carrying your semi auto. "cocked and locked"
in a pocket holster.

What do you think?

First S&W

I bought my first S&W yesterday. M&P Shield in 9mm. Sweet litle gun, csn't wait to get to the range. Couple of issues. I wonder why the model without the manual safety costs more than the one with the safety? Also, the slide is pretty hard to operate. Will it loosen up after a break in period? Shoul...

Personal legal representation

I've had my CHL for a few weeks now. Looking for advice from someone who has, or has not been through this. You fire your weapon defending yourself and/or your family, and the assailant is wounded or dead. In your home or not, doesn't matter. Who do you call after 911? Do you have an attorney on ret...

Re: CC in car?

I almost always carry on my body while driving. I have found a position that is comfortable and it makes it so I dont have to re-holster every time I exit. The only exception to this is my truck gun. It stays in my soft side open top briefcase during the day and is more of a BUG than and EDC I'm gu...

CC in car?

I am thinking about buying a Walther pps in 9mm. I want to try it as an EDC firearm. My question is, do you carry your
EDC in a holster in your car, or is it more comfortable/practical to place it elsewhere?

I hope you don't really think your SSN is secure and "secret". You'd be suprised how easy it is to find out.
