Maybe its my cynicism but I read that article as a dog whistle to the leftist to further attack the NRA and blame the NRA for controlling Trump.

I received the same email. I never respond to this type of tripe, but I couldn't let this one pass. It was short but to the point.

Re: Texas Tales-Katie Elder:Her True Story

I find it fascinating how the folk heros of the Old West like the Earps, really didn't have a lot of morals. It would almost seem they wore a badge to cover their immoral dealings and associations.

Another ticket the man can write while doing an unconstitutional stop to check for papers just because you are in a boat.

Does the law say only under power? If not that will make fishing hard.

Re: Medicare- The Health Care Standard Everyone Should Have

Not Medicare story. I'm not old enough but 5 years ago when my wife was prego with my daughter, we put money in a flexible spending account. What a joke. There was no flexibility. The insurance company took money out of it automatically when I went to the dr or when my wife went for check ups. I on...

Re: Medicare- The Health Care Standard Everyone Should Have

AARP lobbied for Obamacare. Why? Probably cause AARP knew it would make billions. Health insurance companies never seem forth coming to me. You get a bill that says what the hospital charged, what they think it should because they only paid so much of it, and when you try to put all the numbers toge...

Re: Help identifying rattler!!

If I happened to get bit I would listen to my own self first. Call a buddy en route so he can either follow me or see that I get there. 20 miles to town and hospital is first building on the left!! I haven't timed how far it is to the hospital but I'm guessing minimum 20 minutes. I read years ago o...

Well that's convenient. Hopefully the investigation will continue but I have my doubts.

Re: Did anti texting and driving laws reduce accidents?

My point is that the lawmakers "just had to do something" to prevent another texting while driving crash. This law came about because of the 13 church members that were killed in a texting while driving crash. The lawmakers could stand up and tell the people they did something to prevent another tra...

Did anti texting and driving laws reduce accidents?

Any data on whether the texting and driving ban has reduced automobile accidents? Judging by the amount of people I see driving while playing on their phones, I am willing to say no, the new law didn't do anything. This law was passed in the wake of a tragedy much like the excuses for passing new gu...

Poll: Are anti 2A government officials evil?

I am not very religious but this thread got me thinking, https://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=96876. Especially the following Bible verses: Ephesians 6:10-18 New International Version (NIV) The Armor of God 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full a...

Re: Sen. Graham announces red flag legislation

If you had a relative that was truly crazy and a potential threat and had firearms how would you deal with them? Hypothetically of course. Didn't the grand mother in Lubbock take care of her grand son the right way? Seems to me that new laws are not the problem but law enforcement actually followin...

I don't think I have ever known anyone who "waited it out" after a snake bite.
My dad after a water moccasin bit him at the lake. He said he would go to the hospital if he felt funny. It must have been a dry bite.

Be nice to have an update from the OP.
