Re: Situation: 2am "visitor"

I put my Ring over where the old doorbell went, so it just feeds on that power. Even rings the normal doorbell as well. Makes it nice I can answer the door from my bedroom if I want. We've answered the door while eating at a Mexican restaurant. We also have floodlights shining down into the flowerbe...

Re: OR: High School students help write new gun bill 5 round magazines 20 cartridge per month limit.

I propose a 1 text/tweet per day limit, and no more than 31 texts/tweets per month limit on Oregon high schoolers. Bet their heads would explode. Too generous. They aren't proposing a 1 bullet per day with 31 per month. I suggest they have to get a background check before every phone they get. Also...

Re: Address change questions

You want Section 411.181. It has the part about keeping your address current. Basically the same as driver's license, you have 30 days to get your address updated with them. Section 411.187 carries the penalty for not updating your address, which is suspension of the license.

Re: OH: School kicks SRO off campus for writing principal a ticket

If I were that cop or any of his cop friends I’d swing by every day and keep ticketing anyone parking there illegally. Not saying good or bad, but it's asking for police harassment if the officer is liked at all. Be prepared for your not coming to a full stop, stopping past the white stop line, fai...

Re: Question: Chief Law Enforcement Office for NFA FORM 4 Notification

Well my paperwork was just submitted and I mailed a copy of the Form 4 and the "Responsible Person" form for each member on my trust to the Denton County Sheriff. This added requirement is a bummer but better than having to have a sign off. My other submissions a few years back were approved within...

Re: Question: Chief Law Enforcement Office for NFA FORM 4 Notification

This is interesting as I am starting the same process. Called the McLennan County Sherrif's office. They referred me to Waco PD. You don't need to call them. Just put the information on the forms, and send it to whoever you choose that is on the ATFs list. They don't get to decide they don't want t...

Re: Question: Chief Law Enforcement Office for NFA FORM 4 Notification

I believe that by State Law that the county sheriff is considered the Chief Law Enforcement officer. I live in Houston Area and as much as HPD chief hates to admit it, The County Sheriff has jurisdiction inside the City/ies, if they choose to do so. For the ATF they have their own regulations. Dire...

Re: Question: Chief Law Enforcement Office for NFA FORM 4 Notification

I used Garland Police Chief and my SBR went through just fine. It's just a notice not a form they need to do anything with. So doesn't really matter.

I saw that story elsewhere. Talk about poor target selection on the mugger's part.

Re: 308 deer rifle?

I have a TC Compass and it is definitely a 1 moa gun. I threw a Nikon scope that has the bullet drop circles specifically for .308. Sighted in quick and easy.

Re: This is gonna be very interesting

You libertarian voters actually voted for Hillary. You may have that warm fuzzy feeling inside knowing you did the "right" thing but that's what you did, voted for HRC. I voted for Perot once too so I know how it "feels" but.... Which is how we get RINOs. Republicans know they don't have to do anyt...

Re: This is gonna be very interesting

It seems like wishful thinking, but I offer you a deal. If this is masterful strategy, and results in fewer Federal second amendment infringements on 9/1/2020 than on 9/1/2016, I will vote for Trump in 2020 and enthusiastically encourage others to do the same. However, if Trump's bump stock ban is ...

Re: First build completed, AR15

Wow - are you saying you got the tax stamp on the SBR faster than the tax stamp for the suppressor? No I put the paperwork in for the sbr in november of last year, and got the stamp in June this year. I held off on buying most of the actual parts for it until I got the stamp, so it just now got ass...

Re: First build completed, AR15

Is it a 10”? I’ve got a .300 blackout that size. It makes quite a compact package. Even with the AAC can mounted, it’s no longer than a 16” carbine. 10.5" barrel from Faxon. It is indeed a small package, measured it at 25.5" oal fully collapsed. I might look into one of the pdw stocks at some point...
