Yes ... and she crushed it too by the way!! Some people are born to shoot. She is one of those people.

This is also my opinion of Karl and his instruction. http://www.krtraining.com March 3 I took three classes in one day (see message above). Well organized and run, very challenging. Got to try various hand held and weapon mounted lights after dark. Shoot house in the dark with hand held light. All conducted very safely.

How many were in your School Safety/Active Shooter class?
Thanks for that ... hopefully I get to shake your hand in a class down the road.

I put out a challenge to my son's ISD: match my commitment and send two teachers and two administrators. At that point, I was going to offer my paid registration to two more teachers. No response. So, I attended on behalf of the entire Montgomery ISD as a parent. Small class - with me was a male high school teacher, a female K-4 receptionist, a female high school nurse, and another proactive dad - all experienced shooters. We covered alot of ground in those two days.

Yes, you must have your LTC to take this course. It starts with firing the LTC course of fire on which you must score at least 90% to be certified. There are other shooting and written tests. All 18 in my class passed all of the requirements.

Yes, shooting is a large part of the course. I fired 318 rounds. Most of the instruction time is lecture, video, and scenario (both inside and outside). Two very busy days.

This class is well worth the time and money. That has been my experience with all of the classes I have taken at KR Training. I'm taking three more classes this weekend - intensive shooting (sold out), force on force scenarios (sold out), then low light training (1 seat left).

Thank you so much for the thoughtful reply! I included the AAR in my letter to my local ISD Board.

I would love to hear how your classes this weekend go. I am very interested in taking those classes as well.
