Re: .22 pistol choices

Coming from someone who owns both, and shoots both suppressed, the S&W all day long and twice on Sunday. I know the Ruger is supposed to be the gold standard, but I’m just not taken with it. I had a Mk III 22/45 that I liked, but hated the take down. So I ended up upgrading to a Mk IV. Thus far it’s...

Re: Anyone here use SIG's Pro Shop?

If you were near I’d offer to help you install new sights and the SRT. That said Scott’s suggestion of breaking it up into two jobs is excellent. Also, we have probably the second best Sig gunsmith (behind Bruce Grey @ Greyguns) here in Texas. Robert Burke aka. The Sig Armorer is here in DFW and doe...

Re: Missouri Sign

I love it. We lived in Springfield for about 4.5 years and saw many folks opening carrying (always at the grocery store strangely enough). Carthage/Joplin was very much the same way.

We actually had dinner there with our wedding party the night before our wedding back in 2009. Seemed ok back then. But I agree, Texas de Brazil is better.

Re: WTS: Police Trade-in HK UPS 45

Pretty dim. It’s an ‘AE’ coded gun which means 2004 production.

That said if you’re interested in replacing them I have the MGM sight pusher with the correct shoe for the USP series, makes replacing them a breeze.

Smaller crowd with a shorter meeting today, but nevertheless a good breakfast. Looking forward to the next one on August 24th.

WTS: Police Trade-in HK UPS 45

For sale: Police trade-in HK UPS 45. Comes with one magazine and a box, though not the correct box for the S/N. Outside has light wear as shown, but internals are great. Originally intended to use this a host for shooting suppressed .45 but fell into an awesome deal on an HK45 and don't need two. As...

Very nice. Apologize as I just got around to reading this thread, would have gladly lent you all the tools you needed for the project. But...now you have them, you know just in case you ever want to do another one...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

I found a new open carry friendly breakfast cafe for our western division meetings: Manny's Cafe 4019 Fort Worth Hwy Hudson Oaks, TX 76087 It's a small cafe located in the David's Stove Shop building on the north side of westbound I20 at Mikus Road. There is minimal signage for the cafe, so look fo...
