I had a Remington 760 in .243 when I was 15, it was reliable and very accurate, I took several deer, two turkeys and a javelina with it!

“a tax increase on retirees”

So what would that be? A property tax specifically for retirees? Taxing their pensions?

Really no different than taxing Social Security! For all practical purposes Social Security is a tax and when you draw social security it's taxed, so your getting taxed on a tax!

Re: TX:Houston license plate flipper, charges dismissed

According to public records, Mr. Talbot has been arrested for burglary, and possession of a controlled substance. In each instance, he got deferred adjudication. It appears that he cannot stay out of trouble. Seems to me he manages to avoid punishment! Mr Talbot needs to pay the consequences of his...

Re: CO: Teen infatuationed with Columbine massacre closes Denver Schools

I'm not sure how it works regarding the age, because I believe Florida passed a law requiring all firearms buyers, be 21 or older. In which case she would have been prohibited from purchasing a shotgun in Florida. But that is a State law, and not Federal. Since pump shotguns, are not prohibited, an...

Mandatory treatment if the individual achieves sanity under treatment! HOWEVER I have met too many that do great while medicated but get tired of taking their meds and stop at which time the jump right back into the loony bin! Where are the Parents in these things? If the school had done something like this when my kids were in school I'd have lost my mind! Only had one incident with a kid kicking my daughter, she was about 10yo, I ask her why she had bruises on her legs, she told me a boy in her class was kicking her, to...

Re: Don't need to show LTC to LEO when carrying.

Last time I was pulled over (for driving in the wrong lane, there's a wrong lane? Who knew!) DPS Trooper first question was "sir do you have any firearms in your vehicle?" I told him .45 on my left hip and .45 carbine under the backseat, his reply was "OK" he asked for my license, I handed him my DL...
