Re: Double Chocolate Stout

Update : So the Double Choc Stout came out amazing. It ended up needing about 4 weeks in the bottles to get great(it was already good at about 2 weeks, but its just been getting better with age). I'm down to my last 5, trying to save them and try 1 each week to see how long it needs to go before it...

Re: Houston Museum of Natural Science

I just wanted to say that the Houston Museum of Natural Science is a great place to visit.
Their exhibits are varied and highly educational. I have been there many times and have enjoyed them. :tiphat:

That sounds like it was machine translated from another language.
:iagree: I thought the same.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

Here's another report. A HPD detective was relieved of duty. Apparently she was one of the first people that was notified after officers were shot during the raid on Harding Street. I am not sure why she was relieved. I can't believe how badly it is written. I can't make complete sense of what they ...

Re: New CHL Holder + Vehicle carry questions

I think this is interesting and I disagree with the DPS on what a belt is, I guess. The Code Construction Act says that if a term is not defined in the law, then it has the same meaning as the common usage of the term. I think most people would say that the term belt means something going around th...

Nope, it would never happen. Move on. Let us worry about next general election and keep the control in the congress.

Re: TX: Houston son kills one robber with a head shot after family attacked

Fantastic work by the 19 year old. :hurry: Horrible work by "emergency" dispatch. I am assuming the police had not been notified by 911 at the time they were notified by the mom in person. A lot of time the alarm companies want to call phone numbers to find people and make sure, before they ...

Re: Feeling almost like a real Texan...

Andy, I would suggest you start by slow-cooking a Pork Shoulder. Should be a 5-8 hour cook, depending. Much faster and cheaper than doing a brisket until you learn your grill/Smoker. I have smoked pork shoulder several times - each time it came out tasting great - and it was very moist every time. ...

Re: Nationalism

It's just like racism refrain. It's the last gasp of the intellectually vapid and bankrupt. Like I think Shakespeare said "full of sound and fury signafying nothing". Its just a cudgel used by the left to bash the right in an attempt to gain power. This from an American Indian who loves the United ...

Probably not the way I would have handled it, but the crime was stopped and the child is safe. :tiphat:
Unfortunately the bad guy got away, but I think the police will be able to catch him.
