My uncle owned a cotton gin across the road all I had to do was after him approving it was to tell them to put the ammo on his ticket and leave. I got 15 cents for every pigeon I got at the gin and 5 cents for a rat applied to my ammo bill, I hunted them hard. I still have most of 2 boxes of the shotgun shells I bought. This work sure kept me out of trouble and they always knew where I was. I did best when they went to eat or to store at night as they would leave me to hunt, much better at night for rats.

We ran it for 33¢ bx/50 in the 60's and early 70's.
From a small town here but sure remember all the filling stations just about sold ammo, hardware stores and some grocery stores. All the 7-11 stores and the like also had it, I even remember several barber shops and 1 TV retailer in Dallas.
