Re: Bump stop ban signed today

I've seen many videos of soldiers in Iraq running full auto. Nobody can say full or semi is better; each has its own applications. If I stepped around a corner in Fallujah and there were 3 or 4 ISIS fighters standing right in front of me raising their weapons, I'd darn sure want to be on full auto....

Std Mfg S333 Revolver

I just came across this while perusing Buds site. Apparently it's a revolver that fires 2 rounds, from side by side barrels, with each pull of the trigger. Not a derringer, because it holds a total of 8 rounds. I have owned a DP-12 from this same company and while that one has side by side barrels, ...

Re: Strange experience in a big-box store

I have a similar story but I was the "weirdo" in that case. I had just started my career as an auditor for one of the "Big 6" (at the time) accounting firms. Being new, I tended to get assigned a lot of inventory observations, because most people dislike them. I was to observe the Hickory Farms stor...

Re: CNN

So you are smarter than me? I know enough not to insult someone right before I ask for something from them (votes). :iagree: The next time I go for a job interview, I'll make sure to tell half of the people interviewing me that they are deplorable and stupid. I'll then complain that the job was "st...

In the mean time, has the City of Austin at least stopped prohibiting licensed carry in their City Hall?

Comp-Tac is what I use for my competition holsters. They are a great company. Houston location as well in case you need something really quickly and are located here.

Re: TX Attorney General Opinion on municipal regulation of gun sales

There is 1 gun range (private) on the island. It has been here a good while, and they host various competitions. I haven't ante-ed up the membership yet, but I have no problem with it, given the "protected wildlife/refuge areas" in the immediate area. To have the range in spite of the EPA and prese...

Re: Henry announces X Model Series

Dang, one of those in .357/38 Spl is sure tempting! Same. If/when they offer one with wood vs. the plastic stock and forend I’m in for one in .357/.38 to throw a suppressor on. They do have a few, just without the side loading gate. That’s the problem though, you really need the side loadin...

Re: suppressor

At the risk of going a bit off topic, are you concerned that the suppressor might negatively effect (affect?) the reliability of your G44? I'm really interested in getting that gun, but I'm a bit gun shy after experiencing reliability issues with other .22lr semi-autos.

Re: TX: Dallas LTC holder fends off robbers at home cookout

Ironically enough, my wife just gave me grief for carrying during a barbeque at my house. My daughter is headed back to college today, so I decided to smoke a brisket for her on Sunday. My wife took a picture of me carving up the meat, and posted it to Facebook, where she immediately got comments be...

Re: Article: Not a Gun violence problem

No such thing as gun violence ... wish we would quit feeding the enemy with terms for sound bytes. Yep, that's the point he is making. Right. And my point is we use the term here in post titles and comments. "Gun V-" is the N-word of the pro-gun community. :iagree: People don't talk about "Vehicle ...

If we don't do something about the climate, then sooner or later we'll all be dead!

Of course, if we do do something about the climate, then sooner or later we will all be dead anyway, lol.

Re: TX: Crosby gunshop owner 1 burglars 0

Moral of the story: next time you want to rob someone, choose your target in a "victim zone" (aka "gun-free libtard zone"). Seriously. I realize that most criminals are stupid, but how dumb do you have to be to pass on all the places that are advertising their desire to be robbed with big 30.06 sig...

Re: Looking for a new safe

Is it a room under the stairs, by chance? I have one of those, and decided to just reinforce that little room, with a solid core door, some deadbolts and a folding security gate as soon as you open the door. Of course, that may not be an option if they don't even want you bolting a safe to the floor...

Re: Rossi 12 gauge shotgun pistol.

I have found my recoil limit and it is firing a .357 round from an 11 ounce, scandium framed, revolver. That's the most recoil I want to ever subject myself to. And this weapon appears to be well beyond that limit.
