Re: Carry Permits Jump Over 1400 Percent When DC Went ‘Shall Issue’

article Prior the court ruling, according to The Washington Post, only 123 people had active D.C. concealed carry permits and MPD previously denied 77 percent of applicants for not providing the once-mandated “good reason” to carry. Next up, reciprocity? I'll settle for a non-resident permit

Re: Mossberg 20GA Shockwave $269.99 w/ free shipping

Make it .410 and I'll be interested, but not even a 20 gauge will be manageable (with that design) by me. You might be surprised. This design is much more manageable than it looks. Of course, we are all different, etc., etc. But for me, the shockwave grip is MUCH easier to handle than a pistol grip...

Re: HB 121 - Requires oral notice for 30.06 and 30.07

sounds like you can still get cited if they don't tell your orally and just call the cops. Unless the cops give you oral notice and you then leave. I think it has already been established that a LEO has authority to give oral notice in cases where there are no signs, etc. "Sir, I'm sorry but that s...

Re: Interesting gun bills filed for 2019 session

OK TAM. I'll jump into the devil's advocate role. 1. What part of the Constitution gives the Federal government the power to regulate anything built and used in Texas?. I get it that power has been usurped in situations like the farmer growing crops for his own use being declared interstate commerc...

Re: HB 131 - Here come "Extreme Risk Protection Orders"......

If somebody is too dangerous to be allowed to keep the guns they already own, they're too dangerous to be allowed access to knives, bats, cars, rope, etc. :iagree: If someone is really this dangerous they need to be locked up immediately. Forget guns, how are we supposed to ensure they won't get th...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

All CNN should be banned from the WH at least as long as there is ongoing litigation involving them :iagree: Shouldn't CNN also recuse themselves from reporting on anything related to President Trump? How are they supposed to be unbiased when they are engaged in a lawsuit with the party they are re...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

If CNN wins this lawsuit, then the White House should assign Acosta to the back row and never call on him. Maybe also start every press conference with a statement that physical contact with staff will not be tolerated and a reminder that it is never OK for a man to assault a woman, while staring di...

Re: HB 172 - 8.5 x 11 (MAX) 30.06/7 Signs

Why don't we just create approved signs that would allow for the arrest of invited guests who are exercising other fundamental liberties that the property owner might disagree with? What if I am really offended by someone I invite to a party who parks their car with a "Beto for Senate" bumper sticke...

Re: California bar shooting leaves 12 dead

If there were no guns then this lunatic wouldn't have shot anyone, so just get rid of all guns.

If there were no trees then we wouldn't have people burning to death right now in wildfires, so just get rid of all trees.

We need common sense deforestation laws NOW!

Re: RGB fell down and broke ribs. Again.

Barring something crazy, Trump should easily win re-election in 2020. As long as the House Dems follow through with their plan to launch investigations that make the Kavanaugh hearings look calm and professional by comparison, the Republicans will retake the house and further extend their senate maj...

Re: Alcohol and self defense

Not every one, but many prosecutors have a 'I will do whatever I have to, to win' attitude. Being intoxicated with a bellyful of booze at home and a criminal/criminals decide to invade your home and you repel them with your firearm and prevail, doesn't mean because you're at home, minding your own ...

Re: Truck broken in to, pistol stolen...I’m mad at myself

I bought a used CZ 75 compact (pre-B model) from Buds for $275. That is my car / truck gun. I really like that gun, but if it gets stolen at least I won't be out a ton of money.

Re: Interesting bill regarding guns made in Texas

Hi mojo84, I'm not quite sure how I feel about this. What if someone in Texas uses the new plastic printers to make their own unregistered gun? Do we slide from sanctuary cities to sanctuary state? Government without interagency cooperation can range from difficult to downright hard to next to impo...

Re: TN:Man chases men breaking into cars and is murdered

The moment this guy decided to intervene, the odds were stacked against him. Tragic outcome - but on the flip side: he chases them down and shoots these actors as the aggressor in retaliation for petty theft / criminal mischief and he goes to prison for the rest of his life, leaving behind a wife a...
