Arguing with someone who has strongly ingrained beliefs on any topic are just not worth the time and effort to try and convince them otherwise. I agree that you won't change the person's mind. However, depending upon the context, you may affect the opinion of a bystander who is listening. - Jim Ver...

I thought I heard on the news last night that it was a monday protest? Something about Quanell X too..

If it's on monday, I'll gladly meet there with you. Sunday, I probably can't make it because of work though.

Re: Reloading area

I built the original bench for one press and a little room for tinkering. I got serious about competition shooting and bought anthoer press. So, I transferred over the second press onto the original bench and built a work station area for gunsmithing. Fits my needs. JS http://i82.photobucket.com/al...

Speaking TOTALLY for the general population here, but coming from someone in the Webster area, I can 'almost' promise you that CHL holders have carried in there before ;) I saw that sign as well when I went. I stopped and read it carefully, and came to the same conclusion seamusTX did. There wasn't ...

No, I didn't copy and paste anything, I don't steal work :) Those numbers are superscript numbers marking citations that appear at the footnote of the document, just the forum doesn't know how to show superscript numbers.
Oh, gotcha.

My additions are in bold. They're few, but they're there. Paper is coming along nicely. I should be working on my own right now ;) My modifications are mostly subject/very agreement issues. Two tragedies occurred in Blacksburg, Virginia on April 16, 2007. The first is well recognized; the premeditat...

Haha, I've got one on you on that. This has no relevance to your question, but it's still fun to imagine seeing this one particular guy. We went to the China Bear restaurant on the north side of Houston (REALLY nice buffet btw, really elegant place inside, ENORMOUS buffet... they had snow crab on th...

Total side note here, is there something going on at PSC this weekend that you could go to meet some texas CHLers? Or is there just an abnormally large amount of them there every weekend? Maybe I should start going there :???:

.... the instructor asked each person in the beginning how many rounds they'd put through the guns they had with them today, most were 250-300, a few 500's, then he gets to me, "3000" and I got a couple of stares  then this 1911 fellow said something like 2500, he got the same stares...

Haha, I came across an old class journal from first grade. Every day we'd have to write in your journal at the beginning of class and it was periodically "graded" by the teacher to see how basic spelling, etc was coming along. One of the topics must've been, around Christmas time, what we ...

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/ent/stories/DN-aguilar_1020gl.State.Edition1.1fa7f20.html I actually agree with most of that story. The rest of the "team" on that story needs to be punished likewise. Sadly it has turned into a ethnic/racial issue. Is that in any way shocking? ...

My class only had one 1911, and it was a younger guy, about my age (22-23 or so). Young kicker/redneck kinda guy... not some backwoods hillbilly, just a "country" looking guy, wearing one of those brown jackets Wrangler makes that all my cousins and uncles and my dad have... I'm getting of...

"What they shoot him for? That’s what we want to know," a family member said. "You buck-naked with no weapon -- what you going to shoot for." .. A 270 pound naked man walks threateningly toward an LEO during a traffic stop, and the LEO isn't supposed to be alarmed? Then, this ...
