Just saw this, and thought someone had really good long range shooting skills, until I read the story.

Re: New to Concealed Carry, have a few questions

Welcome to the forum :tiphat: As you can tell by the answers, so far, you are dealing with the exact issues as everyone else, when they first start carrying. As far as position, it will depend on several factors, ease of deployment, comfort, clothing choice, whether you spend more time seated, or st...

Re: No place but Tunisia

I guess they could just pass a law banning anyone who's name didn't contain certain letters in a prescribed order. Nothing to see here, just Democracy using a different strategy. Sort of like trying to prevent a candidates name from being on the ballot, if they don't make public, their tax returns. ...

Re: New Guy...

Posting signs, as Flightmare said, only prohibits those who have been subjected, to an extensive background check, submitted their fingerprints into a database, and passed a written, and shooting proficiency test, from carrying. LTC holders, are the most law abiding citizens, in the State, including...

Re: Ban carry at a parade or street festival on public streets

TPC §§30.06 or 30.07 signs posted on government property are not enforceable, unless the property is already off-limits per TPC §46.03 or §46.035. I know absolutely nothing about this event, but if it's a parade it will take place on public streets. If the festival is on public property like a park...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

It's about the same distance for me either place, so I'm good with whatever the majority want to do.
I like the idea of alternating, we probably just need to communicate a little better with everyone, so no one goes to the wrong place.

Re: Nothing has changed.

Yes I would have your dad call. If your dad has moved from out of state, there could be delays in getting background info from the other states. There could be an issue with the prints, maybe unreadable? If you don't get answers from DPS, have your day contact his State representatives. They have be...

Re: Ask Amy...

Color me skeptical, but the whole letter/reply seems contrived. If this parent, was so out of touch with their child, they should never have had children in the first place. The whole idea, that the ammo is somehow illegal, is a verbatim left wing talking point. I'll admit, I don't know everything, ...

Re: Irresponsible dog owner

Had our day in court, dog was declared dangerous! So just what does that mean? i.e. We already knew that it is dangerous. Dangerous dog license $50 100,000 liability insurance Neutered Secure enclosure to be approved by animal control A sign on your house Chipped All has to be done before the dog c...

Re: Ask Amy...

"Now I have to lock my door because I don't know what she is going to do" This is the ultimate in paranoia. Not trusting your daughter? Heck, I bought all 4 daughters their first handgun with hollowpoints. :biggrinjester: I've never heard of this ask Amy person, but just reading through it, this so...
