Re: My recent situation

Locker down console vault and a Silencer ignition kill switch. The console safe is about $300 and made in Texas. The Silencer was an option when I bought my truck. Always have a spare battery for the fob because when it dies you are usually no where convenient to buy a replacement

Re: Kimber? Springfield? Ruger?

:iagree:

I shot a custom Colt for a while and also a new Kimber. The Colt shot a little better but the Kimber was more accurate than myself. The only FTE's were from me not holding the gun properly. The Kimbers may be overpriced but what's money when you take into consideration what they're for.

Re: Hotel info

I guess I misunderstood the OP’s question. I thought they were asking if being told over the phone no firearms allowed was verbal notice (which it is). Someone then referenced a law for hotels stating that they must have written on their website their firearm policy and that there are fines for the ...

Re: Hotel info

I repectfully disagree. I believe the law you are referencing is for the hotels. If someone gives you verbal notice and they are acting on behalf of the owner you are given notice.

Re: Hotel info

When you are given verbal notice it is legally binding. It doesn’t matter if it’s not written on their website once verbal notice has been given.

Re: Mag swapping

I'd find another range. I've never had that problem. The outdoor range I go to responded when I asked what kind of ammo "just no tracers" and the indoor doesn't allow reloads or steel cases.

Re: “No Firearms on Premises” Sign

LOL A lot of newbies don't realize that some people read the recent posts and don't always go into the topic sections. It seems a lot of newbies also post on everything but I think its just their excitement about finding a group of somewhat like minded people.

Re: Mag swapping

After I’ve unloaded a round a couple of times it’s put to the side for use at the range and a new one is used in its place. That way I don’t have to worry about setback and I get the range practice with a magazine of SD.

Re: Remington faces default

I think their quality control issues started somewhere around the time they stopped making the 1100's. I have a 870 that I bought in the late 80's as a teenager that has never given any problems. I've run a couple thousand shells through it. My dad had an 1100 that needed occasional home maintenance...

Re: Gun rights for a Felon?

Ok so I'll take the bait. It's apples to oranges. The law is very specific in what the sign has to appear as. If a sign does not meet those specified requirements then it does not carry the weight of the law. It is not getting around the law in anyway. It may be getting around the owners intentions....

Re: Gun rights for a Felon?

What does 30.06 have to do with the discussion about felonies? If you differ in opinion with the felons not having access to guns that's ok but don't hijack the thread with a trolling comment.
