Lena wrote: Tue Nov 05, 2019 10:56 am I was told they had a contract to buy so much ammo and would stock it until it expired and stock was gone. Mine here sell firearms and still has ammo but not the variety they used to have. No new window signs either. On a positive note our ACE Hardware is considering selling ammo now and at very low pricing just to show Walmart also heard rumor of Tractor Supply
Sounds to me they care about money more than personal beliefs. If the board thinks its wrong, they should pull it from stock or destroy it or donate it to the local PD. But no, they want there profit, THEN they will stop. Games, games and more games...

Re: Walmart has fallen!

Walmart will do what they want. They think they are gods and have a duty to tell Americans what they can and cannot have.

Its either being written up ALREADY or not. Actions now won’t change ANYTHING. :yawn

Well, as you have seen on TV, e-cigs have killed what? 100 people in the last few years...
Im not sure if you are in agreement with not selling of e-cigs" if so then you dont want to know the statistics on alcohol/tobacco products. Not trying to be disrespectful at all, just confused. If a person IMHO wants to drink/smoke its up to them they know the risks, as far as Guns they dont shoot anyone without Someone committing the act.
I wish there was a sarcasm font! Teen smoking and adult smoking is down. Ecigs is a much better choice then smoking regular cigarettes. The teens vaping would be smoking if you took the vapes away. Watch.
2nd, the ones getting sick is because there is no regulation. Thats been a know issue in that market for what, ten years now? Smoking the THC OIL- not good to put oil in the lungs. It coats and traps bacteria in the lungs.

I appreciate the response. I will say however, the hypotheticals listed are situations talked about often on this forum.

Why would you take a chance of them telling you that your not allowed back with a firearm at all? I don’t agree with their policy, but it is their business. I wouldn’t want to take the. Vance of being told I can’t come back with a firearm.
You really think they would remember you?
The law doesn’t say if they remember you. I hope you are suggesting for anyone to break law.
4. No posting of messages promoting illegal conduct.
So if an employee of said company says “don’t come in here again” or what about just “leave”/ “Get out of there”, you are permanently banned from that store for life? Can an employee have that power?
I would also like to follow that up with this. A store posts 30.06. THIS gives you legal notice to not carry there. Next week the sign is gone BUT you have already been notified of their wishes and they remember you. Are you trespassing bringing your firearm in?
Third. How many times on this forum as people been told incorrectly that they can not carry in some specified location. Does that mean they are banned for life from carrying there?
4th- if not banned for life, then for how long? Management change, until that employee isn’t there anymore, verbal permission, written permission or what?

Hypothetically lets say when i was 16, the security guy caught me stealing smokes when they used to be on the end caps of the checkout lane and I was told I was banned for life. Should one still follow that 30 years later?

Side note- by no means am I encouraging ANYONE to break the law. These situations of lifetime consequences based on something VERBALLY said to me have never ever crossed my mind!

Walmart is just a symptom.

Honestly handgun ammo was one of the few reasons that I used to go to Walmart. I welcome the return of ammo sales from big box retailers like Walmart to small businesses. big box stores profit by massive and unfair tax breaks

We need to end tax breaks for these stores.
Laws don’t apply to them, thats why.

I shopped at Kroger exclusively after they gave mom's demand action the middle finger.

Where to shop now everyone? I already had HEB on my ban list, now Walmart and Kroger too. Target?

Aggie_engr wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2019 3:40 pm Correct me if I’m wrong, but posting no open carry (30.07) in Texas only precludes licensed individuals from carry handguns and not long rifles? How would this prevent the El Paso incident or the Missouri guy from openly carrying a rifle? I’m assuming these events are the drivers behind releasing such a policy.
