Re: Signs for the CHLer

There seems to be quite a bit of confusion around the signs.

YES YOU CAN CARRY - This is a "Gunbusters" sign...ignore it.

I was just talking to the wife and a colleague (also female), so the pansy descriptive nomenclature kind of just rubbed off.

It's honestly too "PPK-ish" for what I'm wanting to use it for.

I'm just looking for something a little more "target-ish" or "plinker-y" to get the wife interested.

ETA: Just went back and re-read my original post, and have edited it accordingly.

I'm *definitely* open to the Rugers (especially the 22/45).

As far as the SIG goes (I love SIGs), I'd rather have the Trailside than the Mosquito.

Not a knock on the skeeter, so much as a hat-tip to the Trailside.

Thanks for the input, guys.

WTB: 22LR pistol for wife, daughter

I'm looking for a good 22LR pistol to entice my wife out to the range, and to eventually train my daughter (and later, my son) on. Here's the list of contenders:
• Walther P22
• Browning Buck Mark
• Sig/Hammerli Trailside
• Any other reasonably-priced 22LR pistol [edited]in the same or ...

Does Travelling Constitute my commute?
If you commute by car, then the "traveling" defense is irrelevant; you can have a gun in your car. If you commute by bicycle, or some other non-motor vehicle mode of travel, then you'll have to look to the case law for your appellate jurisdiction. A short ...

Its an eye opener.

Three minutes would seem like eternity if you were "waiting" for someone to save you from a determined attack.

Even a 1 minute rendition of this would be convincing.
man, you need to video tape this and upload it on youtube. I think it would open quite a few eyes.
Any update ...

Just finished replying to an email I received from the friend/colleague I'm trying to "convert" similar to LedJedi and his friend.....

We will still welcome you & say again
Carry & when to carry is the decision of the individual.
We will still respect your point of view & you will ot be flamed, yelled at, or made fun of on this board.

In recent years, I have shied away from using the name I was "born" into Internet forums with, becuase the Internet keeps getting to be a smaller and smaller place.

I still use it in a couple places, but decided to start looking for another name.

Shooter is pretty self-explanatory on a gun board ...
