Re: Convince me that constitutional carry is a good thing

Missouri's went into effect on Jan 1 and hasn't caused any problems. This Texas version seems more watered down. The Missouri version 18 and older can carry a concealed firearm without a permit anywhere in Missouri. However carrying into a prohibited location such as a college or stadium will get yo...

Breitbart: On Monday Ohio Governor John Kasich (R) signed Senate Bill 199, thereby legalizing concealed carry on college and university campuses where school trustees vote to allow it. ... SB 199 also removes a state ban on concealed carry in the public areas of airports and on carrying guns for se...

Re: Without gun rights, Texans would be serfs, not citizens

I notice the Texas constitution had similar wording as the Missouri one once did regarding the wearing of concealed firearms. Texas had a long, hard fight to get concealed carry passed. Is there anything in the works to take that wording out of the constitution regarding the regulating of wearing fi...

Re: Political Capital-Prohibited Places vs Constitutional Carry

:fire Heck, west Virginia governor veto a Cc bill and it was over ridden. Missouri the same thing. Democratic governors in both. In the last year alone...There is no reason in the world we as the people of this state should not expect this bill to sail through. None !!!!!! Texas, the gun friendly s...

Re: Convince me that constitutional carry is a good thing

It moved quick in Missouri. It was introduced in 2015 but only made it out of the first committee in April when it was way too late and the speaker at that time, the sexting pervert RINO didn't care to get it moving. Now Missouri has a very pro gun southerner as speaker of the house and got the bill...

Permit less carry bill introduced in Texas again!

What are the chances this passes next session? The Missouri one that recently passed only pertains to CONCEALED carry. Open carry still requires a ccw permit in some areas. Looks like this one will cover both. Can Texas become the 11th state to pass permit less concealed carry? http://www.fox7austin...

Re: Missouri has historic Republican sweep in elections. Trump wins by 19 points!

Moved here from Missouri (St. Louis). Great State. Had STLPD friends that had side jobs in realestate. I looked into flipping properties into rental properties. These guys showed me around to different buying properties in different neighborhoods. Without going into too much detail, the conversatio...

Re: Missouri has historic Republican sweep in elections. Trump wins by 19 points!

I'm still amazed how Trump won by 19 in MO, quite a bit better than Texas did. I just wouldn't think that would ever be possible. I wonder if it's some ccw instructors don't like the idea of permitless carry simply because of $$$$. On veto override day Demanding Mom's had a rally at the capital and...

Re: Missouri has historic Republican sweep in elections. Trump wins by 19 points!

If I recall in 2014 in the big pro gun bill that passed something was included to allow for MO ccw permits to be used in place of NICS but Chris Koster nor did anyone follow through and the ATF acts clueless when asked about it. Here in Florida we don't have NICS bypass because our ccw permits are ...

Re: Missouri has historic Republican sweep in elections. Trump wins by 19 points!

Not really a state government thing, but I'd love to see MO's CWP strengthened in order to allow for bypassing the call to NICS when purchasing a firearm. While it's never been an issue since we've been up here, I can remember several times in the last decade that I was glad I had it in Texas. Espe...

Re: Missouri passes permitless conceal carry via massive pro gun bill

So Keith, how are things looking in MO next year now with a republican governor? Any chance of getting the penalties lowered for non ccw holders for carrying into prohibited buildings (16 locations) in the MO statues so you get a citation for carrying into a prohibited building like you would if you...

Missouri has historic Republican sweep in elections. Trump wins by 19 points!

So Missouri a higher percentage of voters voted for Trump than Texas did! 19 points! Also Missouri Republicans won all the major offices except state auditor because there was no election this year for it. Also they maintained their large super majorities of 117 republicans in the house and 25 Repub...

Re: Missouri passes permitless conceal carry via massive pro gun bill

If I'm correct it took Texas a long time to pass concealed carry by electing a republican governor finally (Bush). Missouri had a similar fight. I believe in 1985 there was talks of submitting a bill in MO but the NRA wouldn't back it, then in 1992 Shall Issue passed the Missouri House by big margin...
