Re: United Kingdom: the police state
It has been 10.5 years since I left UK for the last time. I am starting to think that if I ever returned I would feel like a stranger in a strange land.

Re: Any bank recommendations?
I have open carried in Wells Fargo and American Momentum ever since open carry became legal. Back when Covid was a thing I even visted American Momentum open carrying and wearing a mask. I joked with the teller and the security guard what a strange modern world it was when a masked man with a gun ca...

Re: 38 special wadcutters?
I first started using .38 spc wadcutters way back in 1975 in England in my 4" 357. As most of my experience at that time was with military ammo the did look rather strange but they were nice to shoot and reasonably priced. I must have gone through quite a few hundred rounds of them before I sol...

Re: UK: 3 dead 3 wounded in knife and van terror attack
So..... Criminals can commit murder and mayhem with knives and automobiles? They can kill without guns? But, Bloomberg tells me that once we ban guns all crime will stop. Could he be wrong? Who says the criminals in UK don't have access to guns. Of course the ony police officers authorized to be ar...

Re: Banks and CHL
Just to update - I visited American Momentum again this moring, open carrying as usual no problem and no comments by anyone, then I needed to go to Wallymarket and had to put on a rain jacket to comply with 30:07.

Re: Banks and CHL
I have accounts at Wells Fargo and American Momentum. I have not been to WF in a few weeks so it is possible things may have changed recently but on all my visits there since Open Carry became legal I have open carried and will continue to do so. American Momentum is not posted and I usually open ca...

I have not noticed any significant change. I generally get one or two notices per month.

Re: Opinions on Magpul PMAG D-60?
I have had a D-60 for 6 years. I use it with my IWI Tavor. It has proved perfectly reliable. It does take time to fully fill it but the ratchet mechanism makes that fairly easy. On the range you do notice how it takes a lot longer to empty your weapon. I only have the one D-60 all the rest of my mag...

Re: TX: Humble woman charged with murder after claiming self defense after a homeless woman aggressively approached
So, serious question, what does Texas law have to say about the use of OC/Pepper Spray? Where does it fall in the use of force spectrum? Applying it to a hypothetical real world scenario, what would the potential ramifications be of using it on an overly aggressive homeless guy who doesn't have any...

Re: TX: Humble woman charged with murder after claiming self defense after a homeless woman aggressively approached
One of the reasons I carry a combination CS/Pepper Spray in a pouch next to my spare mag is so that I have non-lethal 1st Line option for situations that don''t present an immediate threat of death. I know there are people who say they are not "a pepper spray person". I however think that...

Re: Resident Alien LTC or owning a gun questions…
Sorry I did not spot this thread sooner. I became a resident alien on Jul 12 2013, when I arrived at George Bush Airport with my permanent residence visa. Although I had bought a house in Texas on a previous visit, 4 months earlier. On Jul 16 2013 I took possession of my first firearm which was a gi...

Re: Will You Still Visit Colorado?
My wife and I are probably going to visit Colorado some time in the fall. The reason is that, they have one of the best Sarcoidosis clinics in the country, in Denver. When looking for places to stay, we initially considered Downtown Denver, then decided it did not suit us for various reasons, especi...

Re: CA: Yikes, F-35B and KC-130 collide, everybody lived
Pictures of KC-130 show it's basically intact, but all propeller blades are missing from engines 3 and 4 (right wing), and at least one propeller blade is missing from engine 1 (outboard left wing). I wonder how many of those blades went AWOL as part of the mid-air, and how many from landing in the...
