Re: Suppressor build success
Good grief! Why didn't they just SAY so on their website??
Oooh, very slick, though - it has a port on top, so that should help it act like a comp and reduce flip a bit.

Re: Suppressor build success
Ah, gotcha - I misunderstood. I had a similar issue until mine got dirty enough - now I can't get it to move at all

Re: Suppressor build success
I think they would drop, simply due to economies of scale and competition - "dramatically", who knows.
Suppressors are definitely cheaper in South Africa and they were decent - no paperwork required but most folks didn't bother because they 1) took some work to get onto a rifle (eg. muzzle-threading, etc) and although cool-ish 2) weren't seen as something "high-speed tactical special" as they are here.

Re: Suppressor build success
Hmmmm. Are you using the challenge coin inside the can to keep it tight?
Mine uses no coin (because I literally forgot about it during the build, dummy that I am) but I've had no issues keeping mine tight onto the Griffin device.

Re: Suppressor build success
Same as buying a suppressor, I would imagine - the aim seems to be no paperwork, no permission, no tax paid. If you want to make one, make one.
Excellent - well done When are you going to post pics?der Teufel wrote:FINALLY made it out to the farm and had a chance to try my suppressor. It's certainly not movie picture quiet, but it does knock the noise down to a tolerable level. With subsonic ammo (I'm shooting a 300 Blackout) I could hear the bullet hit the target 50 yards away.
Main things to me were that it held together and there were no baffle strikes.
