I know, right? I haven't been pulled over in 8 years and as soon as I'm bonafide... I made a donation to charity just to ease my conscience and show thanks.

Re: Pulled over for speeding, Plano
Me - I've seen so many videos of cars speeding away that I figured it might show that I had no intention of rabbiting.

Pulled over for speeding, Plano
I'd exited I-75 (northbound) onto the service-road and probably a half-mile further on was pulled over by a Plano PD officer. There was nowhere safe to stop so I made a right into a trailer-park, pulled over and turned the car off, putting my keys visibly on the car roof.
The officer introduced himself, I handed over my DL and LTC and he then said I had been doing 62 in a 45 (at which I said "Oh heck") and asked where I was going. I told him that I was heading to Academy to buy ammo for a friend who doesn't reload so he nodded and went back to his car for a few minutes - I made sure to keep my hands visible on the wheel.
He came back and said "I'm giving you a warning, please slow down" for which I thanked him, very surprised. He handed me my keys off the roof and told me how to get out of the trailer park - very pleasant, very professional and very alert.
