Re: Looking for LTC Instructor in SE TX Sensitive to Covid-19 Risk Group

While some understandably prefer the live LTC course, the online option is currently a safer and more convenient option given the current COVID situation. My online LTC course is professionally recorded and thoroughly presented. Some of my students have told me that they have listened to my law sect...

Re: Instructor range fee for Online students

I had a 23yo lady this past weekend with the dirtiest, bone dry-est gun I’d ever seen. She shot OK, but when I asked if she ever cleaned or lubricated her gun, she had no clue it even needed it. I really enjoy helping new shooters get familiar with their firearms and will always provide extra tips a...

Re: Instructor range fee for Online students

Good question! It would be interesting to hear what others are charging. I charge $30 to my DFW online LTC clients who take my online course because I can coordinate groups of online students together. And when you add that amount to my $50 online LTC course fee, it keeps the combined student price ...

Great current info Chris, thank you! It does pay to be respectful and you are very nice to fit unscheduled people in when possible. Hope some of your hearing has returned in that ear. David

Re: Replacing Lost Certificates

A phone app like Tiny Scanner makes taking a pic of the paper form as a PDF and emailing it straight from the app to the student super easy. All my online students get the form emailed to them with instructions on how to file it and a reminder to sign it at the bottom. For my live classes, I take a ...

Re: Online chl recommendations

Thanks for the plug Mike S. glock27, both times that I’ve been reviewed by DPS, each by different reviewers, both have said that my content is among the top two of all the OCPs. That’s unofficially of course. I do have 15 years of law enforcement experience and over 20 years of university teaching e...

Re: Online LTC Class Recommendations?

Roy, I’ll be glad to help you. I’m an online course provider out of the Dallas area and can meet for the proficiency demonstration locally. You can find me on the DPS website for approved online course providers or go straight to my website.

Re: Lessons from observing 5000 gunfights

Good point ELB. But I would recommend slashing major muscles that would immediately debilitate the use of their leg or arm if you have enough distance and leverage. Stabbing seems to have more of a delayed response, especially if they are running on adrenaline and drugs. Good to train and think of y...

Re: Lessons from observing 5000 gunfights

A lot of the gun shooting vids seem to occur in Brazil. The best ones are when an off-duty officer unexpectedly takes care of business during a robbery.
