Re: Background Checks Expanded

It’s nothing but a ‘feel good bill’ for the liberals just in time for the election. Admittedly, there are numerous persons setting up at gun shows selling their ‘personal’ guns, that are buying and then putting them up for sale quickly, but unless they start tracking every gun sold at shows, there’l...

Re: Is anyone in charge of technical issues and responding to new member applications?

Another new one for me. I was logged in and replying to a thread this morning and, when I clicked to preview what I'd written I was sent to a page to log-in. I always have the "keep me logged in" option checked, and I understand that sometimes the auth cookie will expire and I have to log...

Re: Do Springs Take a Set if the Striker is pre-cocked/the hammer cocked?

I had an AR that sat in the gun case for about 4 years with a round in the chamber, cocked and locked. When I was shooting it later, I started getting misfires. Tried with different makes of ammo, same issue. It wasn't hitting the primer hard enough. I put in a Wolf Extra Power hammer spring. Probl...

Re: Deputy Shot - Return 12 Rounds of Fire

Legal question. When he was shooting at the suspect as the suspect ran away if he had hit him in the back would this be a different story since the shooter was running away? Was there still a threat? Of course all of this is Monday morning quarterbacking. In the case of a police officer, they can u...

Re: Deputy Shot - Return 12 Rounds of Fire

This is a perfect example of panic mode reaction. Even if you’ve trained and trained for it, the adrenaline will be flowing and muscle control will be all over the place. I alway shake my head at those who say they don’t carry one in the chamber “because they have practiced and can ‘rack one in’ wit...

Re: Mean streets of Dallas - Texas State Fair shooting

Back about 2013 or 14, the officer looked at my LTC and then asked what I was carrying. I replied 9mm. He said, ‘Well, I guess that’s big enough. Have a nice time!’ 😂

Re: Texas State Fair Carry Rules

License to Carry a Handgun The State Fair of Texas is—and always has been—a private entity. The Fair leases the Fair Park property from the City of Dallas but is not part of the City or controlled by a government body. The State Fair of Texas has long been, and continues to be, a strong supporter o...
