Looks great. I saw the badge holder. OK, it's an odd, nonstandard design. Fine. Wait, where's the badge? It's not in the holder. It's not on the letter or the letter itself. I looked in the envelope and saw a mailer insert buried in the bottom. Could that be it? No... it doesn't even look like a badge. It looks like an information sheet. It's not even on card stock! Oh, darn. But that's all I got. The mailer insert does fit in the badge holder though... Seriously, is that the badge? *sigh*
Same here. I even did a double take and pulled the envelope out of the trash to make sure i didnt accidentally throw it away... I was even gonna email them and tell them they sent the badge holder but forgot to send the badge... very underwhelming.
Quit complaining already. You wanted in the exhibit...you're getting into the exhibit. Feel free to bedazzle till satisfied.

I would rather them spend money on keeping my 2A rights intact rather than having my name, rank and serial number emblazoned all over the place.

ETA: the insert states you can get an insignia to show your membership level, should you so desire. I couldn't care less, and will be attending as a "regular" member.
not complaining... simply stating that I've never been before so i actually almost threw the inserts away until i realize that THAT was the badge. nothing on it says "admission" or anything. I just thought it was an itinerary and was gonna toss it.

Hey, anyone want to meet up at one of the DCTA stations on the morning of 5/4? That way, we can get completely lost together. Who knows. Maybe by the end of the day we'd end up in Brownsville.
Not a big fan of getting lost. especially in the metroplex lol.

That is the plan for my buddy and me, as long as it's allowed.
according to their site you're allowed to carry as long as you abide by local state and federal law bla bla... so as long as theres no 30.07 signs youre golden.

Or go Lyft instead. I never really liked Uber as a company. Anytime I need a ride that won't be company expensed, I call Lyft.
I live in a little podunk town and never used uber or lyft or a taxi for that matter.

That's my number one worry too. I have no idea how the parking situation will be. I'll probably drive my small car there to help with parking. If the protests are anything like SHOT show this year, I won't be worried at all. If this is going to be 10x worse than the protests at SHOT show, then... well, we'll be expecting all of 10 weirdos.
If you're going all 3 days might i suggest taking a taxi to avoid parking issues? If you're staying in a hotel just take a taxi from the hotel. or if you LIVE in the area just take a taxi to the convention center.
I don't think I have ever seen a taxi in North Texas outside of DFW or Love Field airports! DART is probably the best option.
or an uber. just stay away from the self driving cars...
