Re: Remington finishes and ammo quality is terrible

Wow, that really stands out. I wonder if they're contracting out some of their manufacturing. If they are. They should fire them. The rust is bad enough, means whatever process they're using or whatever chemicals they're using to nickel plate the bullets are crap. Nickel plate is specifically suppo...

Remington finishes and ammo quality is terrible

I know this isn't necessarily a new concern. But man I really didn't know how bad it was. I've known for some time they have issues with the oxide finishes on 870s and other firearms. But didn't know their ammo was also suspect. I bought a few hundred rounds of multiple calibers, mostly 9mm and .223...

WTB/ISO 870 Police Magnum

Looking for a tried and true old police magnum 870, preferably with 18.5" barrel, but 20" will work as well.

Re: TN: Enhanced CHL proposed

Regardless of what they claim crime stats are, or "muh gun violence" arguments. This doesn't seem like something we NEED in Texas. Our CHL already allows us to carry into places that the regular person cannot. From reading the article it appears TN just wants a less restrictive CHL, and ob...

Re: To RMR or not to RMR

My biggest issue with it, is since I have an astigmatism, red dots are little star bursts for me. So I need to find a holographic RMR I suppose. Anyone know If the sig romeo 0 or 1 are holographic, or red dots?

To RMR or not to RMR

I have been doing some looking and thinking lately. I finally bought a new weapon to replace my old 1st gen m&p 9c. It's a great little gun, but even with all the upgrades and such I've made to make it fit my wants and needs as a carry weapon, it is showing some age. I recently got my hands on a...

Re: ND at the gun club today during monthly pistol match

Someone told me once, there are no ACCIDENTAL discharges. Only negligent ones. Point being when dealing with a tool such as a firearm, you shouldn't allow any accidents. I feel that's true. In the chemical plants our safety culture says ALL accidents are preventable, both with proper training and p...

Re: Per USA Today the USA has one of the highest murder rates in the world

If you remove the democrat strongholds like detroit, LA, baltimore etc. We have one of the lowest. It's the cities that have the worst gun laws where all the murders happen.

Re: Strong side carry results in opposite side soreness

Yeah that's more or less my problem. I'm a little fat and like I said if I go up a pant size then my pants are too damn big. Even if I don't wear the belt the pants still press in right there on my hip bone. The only thing I can do is unbuckle my belt and unbutton my pants while I'm sitting and driv...

Re: Strong side carry results in opposite side soreness

The fact that you have bruising suggests that you are either leaning to relieve pressure or sitting against chair arms or something... try to pay attention to how you sitting and moving in and out of the chairs. No, the bruising is on the opposite side of my waist from the holster. I have a large r...

Re: Strong side carry results in opposite side soreness

I used to experience similar issues when I carried IWB. Switching to OWB and using lighter weight carry guns helped alot (aluminum framed 1911 vs steel, etc). I also started using a "snap" holster that is easy to take on and off. This helps with the driving situation and also was a huge h...

Strong side carry results in opposite side soreness

Hello all I have been carrying strong side for the better part of two or three years I guess, and in the last six months or so I'm noticing that if I spend a lot of my day sitting, towards the end of the day the skin over my hip bone around my waist area on the left hand side of my body is bruised a...
