When we get to the point that we start needing to use a walker when just a cane will longer do, I vote that becomes the de facto Texas Walker. An homage to Chuck Norris and a force-multiplier for senior citizens everywhere.
But seriously, The Annoyed Man got me reading Kurt Schlichter's new novel, The Attack, and its premise and extrapolations are fresh from the news (the October 7th attack by Hamas on Israel was the basis for his imagining of the book), and frighteningly realistic in the possibilities. Especially considering U.S. Customs and Border Protection just released numbers showing that we've hit 1 million known undocumented border crossings since October 1, 2023; the fastest we've ever reached that number in history. It's the #1 new release at Amazon in Political Thrillers & Suspense, and I admit I'm a tad bit surprised that Amazon doesn't seem to have tried to suppress its sales.
