Re: 1911 Carry

Thoughts from anyone here who carries a 1911 5 inch single stack 45 IWB. Just trying to figure out if it is worth trying to do before I spend any money on a holster. I have in a Crossbreed supertuck, it's a pretty comfortable carry. But admittedly my usual carry is is a Kimber Ultra. Just buy a hol...

Re: thoughts on the future of political parties

There was a third party at least here in Texas, the Populist/Peoples party. It didn't last much past the Late 1800's/early 1900's. The last elected official that I can remember off the top of my head was the 20th governor of Texas, James Hogg. It evolved from the farmers alliance, and greenback part...

Checking in from east Plano, all good here. I pinged a couple other users as well and all seems to be well.

Re: Who's going to trump rally?

Didn't get in (I wasn't expecting to) but did go and was outside watching with hundreds if not thousands of others. A pretty amazing experience for sure. I'm fairly certain the entirety of DT Dallas heard not only the president but the chants and cheers. I was relegated to watching it on TV. Looked...

Bringing this back on track, I did register to get my tickets but not 100% sure that I'll make it though I think I'd like to.

Re: Alert! Volunteers needed to protect Trump Supporters at Dallas Rally

Let's assume that the organizers are all 100% competent, capable folks. The thing that scares me is that a veritable call to arms like this will attract a fair share of Derps and Fudds, violating the rule against going armed into places where violence can be expected (from antifa and their ilk). Ne...

I wonder how you'd go about reloading just one of those things. No tactical reloads here ladies and gentlemen, just keep shoveling in the ammo.

Re: .45 ACP bullets for range and self defense

I haven't yet but Im thinking that I might just for consistencies sake. Only issue that I've run into when not trimming is that I run a quit a bit of mixed brass and there are different lengths which makes a consistent light crimp difficult.

Re: .45 ACP bullets for range and self defense

Fairly new to reloading myself (about a year and a half in) but I've grown pretty fond of Berrys' bullets and Hornady XTP's. As far as powder is concerned I haven't found one that I've used for .45 that didn't do the job but have become partial to Win231 but have used Universal (a little on the dirt...

If they ever make semi-auto rifles unlawful, a person only needs a tap to thread the gas block and a set screw. All semi-auto rifles will then be bolt action. Don’t have to drown them in a lake. I still prefer semi-auto.
There is always the KaliKey option.

Re: Building an electric guitar from kit

That'll be a sweet little unit once it's done. I play a little and would like to get better but time vs priorities. Kits something I've wanted to do but that's also a whole nother tool set to buy. Filing frets making sure the neck is straight, fiddling with electronics, tuners, and the plethora of p...

Re: Had a Squib

I had a squib a while ago with one of my 300blk reloads. Same situation, the bullet was jammed into the head of the barrel preventing the next round from being chambered. Was able to knock it out and carry on as normal.
