Kimber got my Ultra back to me in about 2 weeks and it's back to mechanically flawless again. Range time with zero malfunctions and I'm a happy camper again.

So far customer support from Kimber has been spot on. I have my RMA number and UPS shipping label. We'll see how quickly they can get the issue resolved.

I think I've got a 50/50 shot at this going really well. If it goes great then I'll be sticking and defending my Kimbers, if not...well...I guess I'll be joining the haters and buy a Rock Island or Springfield.

My wife and I hit the range on Saturday and had a pretty good time. She had a couple firsts in the outing including shooting the 1911's and shooting my AR-1, she's a pretty good shot with the rifle by the way.
The call however has to do with one of my 1911's. After tearing them down for cleaning, they are my current carry guns I noticed that there was a crack that had formed on the bottom end of the slide where the guide rod bushing is. Im hoping I don't have the nightmare experiences that we all to often hear about.
