I took the course about 3 months before I turned 21, and started my application on my 21st B-day, June 15th. I was advised to wait a day before uploading anything, so I gave it a few days just to be safe, uploading the LTC 100 on June 19th. June 20th, today, I went to go get my fingerprints taken. I'll keep y'all posted as I get further along in the process. Hopefully, it'll be a speedy one.

I've seen others who completed the class and app submission the same weekend as I did and they've already cleared background review and some even rec'd ltc in the mail... I realize there is a 60day window, but this wait is a killer...
I work FOR the State of Texas, my background check should be a breeze....

UPDATE 2.0!!!!
5/16/18 - After TWO (2) emails to the people at RSD and waiting 7.5weeks of the allotted 8week time frame (8 weeks being the time frame given to me in a reply email from RSD, not 60 working days but 8 work weeks...) my Background check is finally COMPLETED ....My print is now pending ....another waiting period ensues...

Yeah I had a hunch what I needed before I received the letter so I requested it preemptively. Actually got it in my email a couple hours before the letter showed in the mail.

Contacted the county courts where it happened and received a copy of the paperwork alot faster than I anticipated. Disposition submitted to dps...
