Re: TX: Ankle monitors can be cut off, who knew?

Something's awry with TX ankle monitors. This is not the first "mishap" (since I cannot use a stronger word here). Did they have them made in China out of pot metal? And if the monitor is removed, doesn't it send instant alert to the monitoring agency who should notify the PD? *shrug* This is anothe...

Re: Road rage

So far the worst road rage that's happened to me was a drunk redneck who didn't like my honk when he almost hit us (my & the wife) in a two-left-lane turn when he changed lanes during the turn. I had to brake aggressively to avoid a collision (hence the honk) and he ended up in my lane in front of m...

Re: Woman killed by FT Worth PD officer

I agree wholeheartedly that the call from dispatch makes a lot of difference to the officers. "Welfare check" vs "open doors at 2am and possible burglary". Frames the mind in different terms. Though I am not justifying the officer's actions. I wonder whether they will fry him on the murder charge to...

Another leftie socialist commie "happy ending". Terrorist was caught, 1st amendment squashed, 2nd amendment suppressed, crisis averted.

Sooooo ... when will they give him his LTC and weapons back? (I did not find it mentioned in the long winded article)

Re: AL: Clerk with own gun runs off armed robbers

Any more information about this one?
Did the clerk actually put any rounds on target or just shoot blindly to scare them off? It is hard to tell from the video.

What video game? Do you have a link?

Chas.
Not a link to the game, sorry.
But how about a link to the real Iron Dome anti-missile defense system? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Dome

I can ask one of my gamer friends, he will probably know where this bad CGI footage is from.

My apologies, I did not search the boards going 3 years back before posting.
It's still a fun story.

Re: Woman killed by FT Worth PD officer

Dang, another innocent killed for no good reason. R.I.P. Should we start a pool on whether the rookie cop will get a slap on the wrist or not? Most PDs drill into their officers that if they feel threatened, they need to shoot first, ask questions later. What we see here is the fallout. This didn't ...

Looks like a video game...
That's because it is. Lots of these fake videos on YT for people to gather clicks and followers.

OR: Warlmart parking lot suspect chase

Why haven't we seen headlines "Brutal cowboy terrorizes innocent bike thief and ties him up against his will"? Or why don't the libtards cry for banning all rope and horses? But when I look at it, this was a job well done. Of course with a sneaky anti-gun message. Good job, news media. :) https://ww...

Re: Online Sales Taxes is being collected

Why are they still calling it "state sales tax"? The state didn't sell me anything.
They should call it "state buy tax".
Or even better: "give us your money because you are obviously rich enough to buy stuff tax".

Austin man voluntarily turns in his semi-automatic rifle to police, cause his wife told him to.

No, I just made the last part up.

Re: TX: Company removes unpaid GPS tracker from Cap Murder defendant

A capital murder suspect in Texas had a court-ordered ankle monitor removed by the device's operators because the company reportedly said he didn't pay them a monitoring fee to wear the tracker. Wait ... what? The defendant is required to pay for his ankle device monitoring services? And doesn't ha...

Re: Booking Flights with online service - good/bad experiences?

I normally book through Expedia or the airline directly and have no surprises. Including international flights. But stay away from the scam sites like Priceline or Kayak. They use bait-n-switch tactics to lure you in, collect all your information and then as you click "Finalize payment" (or similar)...

Re: Andrews Texas: post office, stabbing, LTC intervention

Can you imagine the absurdity if the good guys had to ask the assailant:
"Sir, can you please grab your screaming bloody victim, step off the federal property and drag her across the street to this parking lot where we can legally save her life?"
