Re: HB48: No renewal class required

I run with about 20 people that have a CHL. There are times that we will enter into conversations that deal with the penal code rules that have changed and I am amazed at just how many are not aware of those changes. Having a CHL is a earned privelidge and refreshing your knowledge of the penal code...

Re: Is this normal...

Unfortunately in this day and age it is common but not nessicarily normal. Customer service.......like chivalry is dead in most places. I have been dealing with the public for over 30 years and I would have never treated a "potential" customer that way, no matter how busy I was. The profes...

Re: Budget Bushmaster Finished

Doc, I was fortunate enough to pick up my M4 Bushy Carbine, new for a decent price because it has an A1upper. Like you I wanted to dress it up on a budget. Heres mine and the progression of change......oh I went way out of the budget on the last purchase: Used MagPul Raid Grip Used Knight Armament R...

Christmas Gift from Sons!

You know you've done something right when your sons surprise you in a good way. First, both asked their respective girlfriends to marry them at Christmas and both said yes. If all goes as planned I will have two fine Daughter's-in-Law in a year or so. The oldest has graduated college, that he paid f...

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry

Most recently I picked up a Para Ordnance LTC Lightweight in 9mm. I like it as a compromise to my Wilson Combat Professional. It is a hoot to shoot and I have now put over 600 rounds through it's match grade barrel. Accuracy is amazing and the trigger cleanly breaks at 5.5lbs with no creep. No funct...

Re: How about those XDs

God forbid......if the laws of this nation ever changed, and I could only keep one semi-auto, I would really have trouble making the choice between my inexpensive XD45 Service and my very expensive 4" Wilson Combat Professional. The XD is incredibly accurate, as is the Pro, the XD has never han...

Re: Yesterday was a great day and a bad day all in one!!

Larry, The middle of June as I posted in my first post. I had no idea we could call and find out where in the processing stage the renewal is!!! UPDATE: I just called and was told it is in the final stages of processing, whatever that means!!! I was told that the applications had more than doubled p...

Re: WTB IWB for 4" 1911

BBD, Since you dont post it, no one knows where you hang your hat. If it is near Houston, I was in Collectors Firearms about two weeks ago and they had a Tucker Gunleather IWB for a 4" 1911, hanging it their rack. The model is the Heritage. It was plain jane tan, without any fancy leatherwork a...

New Wilson Combat Hi Power IWB Holster

I just recieved my Wilson Combat Companion IWB Leather holster by mail today. They had them on sale and I just could not pass up a good deal. I have been wearing it around the office all day and it is very comfortable. It really holds the gun securely and I really like the high ride design. It will ...

I have owned and been shooting Ruger revolvers for the better part of three decades. However the GP-100 never really appealed to me....that is until I came across a used 3" with the half shroud. I had read Mr. Camps article on the Repatriated Ruger GP-100 he has and how much he liked it. This o...
