Re: Killeen Newspaper Poll

As of 7:30PM Sunday night, poll is 56.9% against background checks, 37.9 for, and 5.2 Unsure, would depend on specifics. Currently very small sample size. I wonder how many of the 37.9 don't realize there is already a background check? Although I'm one to wear out the Tracking Notice and wait anxio...

Are you counting off duty and plainclothes cops as good guys? :headscratch

Because plenty have been shot by other cops because of mistaken identity.

I'm planning to make this into a yard sign.

Should I add the words at the bottom? I like the subtlety of this one, but, the actual flag does have the words. :confused5

Re: Are we de facto in more danger from Republicans than Democrats in regard to 2nd Amendment?

Most of the Republicans who will appear on my ballot next year have gone out of their way to attack my constitutional rights. That makes them ineligible for my vote.

Their choice. Their consequences.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/06/us/politics/congress-gun-control.html Republicans rally around gun control. Neither of which would have prevented the shooters from getting firearms. It does reduce the risk of good guys shooting bad guys. Which makes it logical for bad guys to rally around.

Re: Are we de facto in more danger from Republicans than Democrats in regard to 2nd Amendment?

When Democrats are in charge, the NRA is: “From my cold dead hands!” and “any gun any time anywhere” and “good guy with a gun” and other Republicans generally follow these battlecries and refuse to give in. When Republicans are in charge, Republicans gradually push for “universal background checks”...

At this point, nobody in their right mind could believe gun control reduces violent crime.

Re: NM: Walmart to stop selling guns in New Mexico

It seems a bit of a stretch to REQUIRE an FFL do a background check for anyone who asks. Your right, but is there a limit on what they could charge. $35 I think it's a reach to impose a duty on FFLs, obligating them to perform background checks for private party sales. In particular, I question the...
