Re: Oklahoma Constitutional Carry

"Of course when Ok turns Blue, we can kiss it all goodbye anyway."

If you check the county maps of Oklahoma from the last several elections, I believe you will find that Oklahoma will be one of the last states to go blue - if ever. I WISH we could say the same for Tejas.

Re: School Safety Certification Instructor Training Class

It's been a couple of years for me, but they gave us an hour. There are a couple of places in either direction around 15 to 20 out. Not very relaxing, but it can be done.

IMPRESSIVE 15yo Bow Shooter

I was honored to have somewhat of a celebrity in a special springtime hunter ed "field day" class yesterday. 15yo gal named Kiersten. Texas AND National Archery Champion at 50 meters. She shoots a PSE set at 52 pound draw weight. If that is not impressive enough, she completed the class in order to ...

"Am I the only one who thinks this "police state" situation is getting out of hand? Am I being unreasonable to think this is just getting crazy?" If the cop car that you saw happens to service "Lantana" - and they are paying for it - then I see it is probably a good thing. For many years, that commu...

Re: Seismic Quakemaker +M ammo...

"I can't see this as much more than a very expensive gimmick."

Yep, that was my first impression. And so expensive that most people would not even shoot enough of it to know if it is reliable in their gun. Or NOT.

Yep, tragic. But preventable. Similar happened a few years back near Beaumont. Hunter took a goose load thru the tailgate. Hit femoral artery. He did not make it.

You might want to Google "407 Gun Club". Near 35W, south of Denton. 2 lanes at 100 yards.

Re: Deer woods in the AM

That sounds like a good time. Rut should be in high gear about now. I got to go opening weekend and have not had a break to go back. On Sunday morning I was sitting near a corner fence line watching for a buck I had seen in heavy cover about 200 yards away at dusk the prior evening, My brother took...

Re: Project Appleseed Long Range Event Review

I did my third 2-day event last weekend in Norman, Oklahoma. Helped son and 2 friends get the patch with 22s. It was another very enjoyable weekend with like-minded people. I got the patch years ago in Davilla, TX with score of 234 with a scoped 10/22. Lingering car wreck injuries kept me from being...
