I have remained friends with people with whom I have political disagreements. They have a right to their opinions, even if they are wrong. I have NEVER remained friends with anyone so clearly detached from reality, and willing to entertain any lie without the application of critical thinking, that they cannot be engaged in reasoned conversation. Such a person has no intellect of their own to speak of, nothing in common with me, and therefore there is NO basis for any kind of relationship.

I would unfriend such a person on Facebook, so that I don’t have to take a shower after reading their posts.

How the FBI repeatedly disregarded evidence Carter Page was no traitor, so they could spy on Trump. Some more FBI people need to go to jail.

Oh while the Forum was down the House sent articles of impeachment to the Senate on Trump even though he had left office already.
Above article really good if you have n't read it. Timeline really shows FBI was out to get Trump. Anyway.

https://www.realclearinvestigations.com ... 26937.html

Only FBI agent so far to plead guilty and be sentenced to jail for his role in Carter Page plot to get Trump still has his law license and is in good standing with the DC Bar.
Aaaaaaand......THIS is the kind of manure for why DC is a swamp. The whole cabal needs to be broken up and its constituent parts redistributed around the country. Maybe if these thugs are separated by distance and forced to use easily monitorable electronic channels to communicate, they’ll get into less trouble.

Trump acquitted on both charges.

Now, how long till the next impeachment or investigation.
Well, Schiff announced a week or two ago that he was opening an investigation of Pence. Given that they couldn’t get Trump convicted, and given how absolutely idiotic dems came off looking at the SOTU speech, AND given the reaction of many DEMOCRATS to how their reps behaved during SOTU, I seriously doubt that Pelosi is going to allow Schiff to proceed. They totally shot themselves in the foot for 2020 with their antics, and if they go after Pence....who is pretty squeaky clean....they will lose that leg at the knee. Listen to these democrat callers into CSPAN:

For every righteously appalled Democrat who bothered to phone in to CSPAN, there’s got to be hundreds more who feel the same way but didn’t call. If they’re smart, the DNC will slink off and lick their wounds. Continuing to draw attention to their brand of insanity is only going to get them completely crushed at the polls in November.

I don’t think Trump is going to get the votes in 2020 he thought he’d get:

Trump in UK. Had a NATO meeting earlier. EU not paying enough. NATO good. Trump baby balloon flying over London.

All MSM news on NATO bad. Apparently it is bad for the US to complain that it is shouldering most of the cost and Europe pay little for its own defense, while at the same time sending money to Russia for their energy needs.

Peter Strzok either saint or devil depending on who you listen to after senate hearing. I think his texts say it all.
I’ll pick devil. These are pictures of him taken during the hearing:

Sure, but I'm really referring to the congressional committees that are trying do a part of what Mueller is already doing anyway. Mueller has the resources, expertise, time, integrity, and a nonpartisan mission to investigate foreign election influence, campaign collusion, obstruction of justice, and anything resulting from investigating those topics. I'm sure it's nigh impossible for everyone on a team to be completely unbiased in any governmental endeavor but correct results can still be had even with personal biases.
You have more faith in Mueller’s integrity than I do. I think he’s a political animal, and the reason that his “investigation” has lasted as long as it has, and the reason that its direction has strayed FAR afield of his original mandate is because he’s on a fishing expedition, and has set himself up above any accountability to anybody .......and that lack of accountability in gov’t anywhere is distinctly un-American. Mueller is a willing tool of the DNC to overturn a lawful election result.

In any other terms, that is called a coup.

Newly revealed e-mails show that former Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) deputy director Andrew McCabe was keenly aware of CNN’s internal understanding of a secret briefing about the infamous Steele dossier, days before CNN published any stories on the matter. The e-mails, which were obtained by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), also reveal that top officials used coded language to refer to the salacious and unverified allegations made by Steele.
I hate this, because I used to have such respect for the Security Branch of the DNC (AKA “FBI”). But I’m afraid that it has become entirely a political machine, used by the left to target opposition candidates. Whatever honest agents are left, who are still working on the various kinds of criminal investigations that are ACTUALLY part of agency’s mandate, must be feeling pretty much betrayed and left out in the cold by the filthy animals that pass themselves off as FBI leadership.
TAM, don't be discouraged by innuendo or conjecture from congress. Mueller has all the info and is making impressive progress. If FBI or DOJ is off base in any way his report will show it. It really makes no sense for congressional committees to be doing any intelligence investigations.
I total disagree with the congress not investigating intelligence matters. I no longer trust the FBI or the DOJ. I believe checks and balances are warranted.
:iagree:

Everything (and everywhere) is politics. At least congressional review is public or semi-public. Everything within FBI and DOJ is a black box and there is no telling what strings were pulled or leads were ignored to get a certain result.....
Congress has constitutional oversight powers, and traditionally, the various committees which provide oversight to agencies like the IRS, the FBI, and the CIA recieve cooperation from those agencies in matters of oversight. The reasons the committees receive that cooperation are twofold:
  1. those agencies are mandated by law to cooperate; and
  2. Congress controls the pursestrings to their budgets, and has the power to “punish” said agencies for refusing to cooperate.
To the extent that any federal agency refuses to cooperate with the congressional committee charged with that agency’s oversight in specific matters, they are operating outside of the law.

Under Obama, the FBI stonewalled a congressional committee requests for information relevant to investigations by that committee into the Clinton email scandal. Under Obama, the IRS stonewalled committee requests relevant to a congressional committee’s investigation into abuse of power over non-profit applications by conservative political groups. Under Obama, the DOJ stonewalled congressional committee investigations into criminal malfeasance by both ATF and FBI in the Fast & Furious matter of illegal gun-running. Etc., etc., etc.

Under 8 years of Obama, federal agencies have learned that the law no longer applies to them - even when the current POTUS or Congress tries to force compliance. How is that not a coup?

Pelosi, Schumer declare ‘victory’ with GOP spending bill

Republicans have killed republicanism. The torch of liberty has been passed to others.....or more accurately, it has been fecklessly set aside by people who have no honor, as they chase the golden baubles of power. The two parties are now just slightly different variations of the same flavor palette.

I see this as an opportunity. I recently became the Tarrant County Libertarian Party Precinct Chair for my precinct - 3177. From now on, I am working to replace republicans (and democrats) with libertarians. We need “NOTA” added to the ballot in Texas. Maybe the LP isn’t the answer, but I’ll find out. But for dang sure, the GOP is not. It’s time of providing a distinct alternative to democrat statism has passed.

Right now, I don’t know how a republican politician can observe what happened with this budget, and how democrat leaders are crowing that it is a victory for them, and then look his constituents in the eye and say with a straight face that he did his damn job.

Enter President Donald Trump. He is a rude and crude person. He speaks like a Queens real estate guy on a construction site. And because he does not have good manners, he thoughtlessly breaks the rules with which the Left has sought to muzzle those who disagree with them. In this regard, I frequently compare Trump to Randle Patrick McMurphy, the loudmouthed, ill-mannered roustabout from Ken Kesey's brilliant novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. McMurphy comes into an insane asylum controlled by a pleasant, smiling nightmare of a head nurse named Ratched. Nurse Ratched, while pretending to be the soul of motherly care, is actually a castrating, silencing tyrant. Her rules of good manners, supposedly fashioned for the benefit of all, are really a system of mental slavery. All of McMurphy's salient character flaws suddenly become heroic in the context of her oppression. Only his belligerent ignorance of what constitutes good behavior can overturn the velvet strangulation of her rule.

For Nurse Ratched, read Hillary Clinton, CNN, the New York Times, Yale University, Twitter, and Google/YouTube — all the tender ministers of polite silence and enforced dishonesty. If Donald Trump's boorishness crashes like a bull through the crystal madhouse of their leftism — well, good. It's about time.
Klavan is spot on here.
