CHL Applicant Checklist

Here is a message from the DPS CHL Section. It deals with possible confusion as to what must/can be submitted to DPS with an application.

The email and checklist both state to submit:
  • Checklist (or your confirmation email containing the transaction barcode)

The 48-hour time frame is only for being able to print the checklist directly from the NIC website, but the applicant should have received an email containing their checklist. This is the message from the Checklist which I believe is causing the confusion:

After 48 hours, this checklist will not be available to print. Instead, log into the TxDPS Concealed Handgun Licensing system to view your detailed application status. You can also refer to your emailed checklist.
