Re: ATF ruling AR and AK pistols are now AOW!

I just watched the same video which was posted over on arfcom. He is recommending that everyone contact their reps to reel in the ATF. He makes the assertion that the ATF has been writing letters creating a “wish list” of sorts hedging on a Biden win so they have the political support to move forwar...

Re: If you started over carrying a firearm

I started out with a Kimber pro carry .45 from 2006 to around 2016. I gained some wisdom (I think?) and traded weight for capacity and started carrying a G19 while the kimber went to truck duty. Then the Sig P365 with 12+1 capacity hit the market shortly thereafter and I’ve carried it ever since. I ...

Re: Waller County

Very much appreciate the explanation ELB. I just hate that Waller county appears to be celebrating a win, pending the final outcome of the Austin case (which can take who knows how long).

Re: Waller County

Just posting a follow up on the outcome of Waller county vs Attorney General Paxton. It appears that the Waller county courthouse signs will remain. What, if any, are the next steps to take? Re: New “Pistol” for me...

Good to hear that it’s non-reciprocating and they have a solution for the charging handle! Let us know how it works out when you get the new one installed.

Re: New “Pistol” for me...

Nice weapon! I’ve had my eye on a .45acp model.

Does the charging handle reciprocate when the action cycles between shots does this interfere with your front sight? Just curious why it’s mounted where it is, instead of at the end of the rail.

Re: My “truck” gun is...

In my normal day to day activities, I have a G19X with rail mounted streamlight and two 19 round spare mags. I also have a safariland owb retention holster in case I need to be mobile and spare mags are in comptac owb holsters. For any travel outside of my immediate area, the 8.5” LWRC PSD in 5.56 g...

Re: Anybody bought body armor? Thinking about it....

Word of advice, if you do end up going with AR500 steel plates pay the extra charge for “build-up coating” to mitigate fragmenting shrapnel.

Re: Kenosha Wisconsin Shooter discussion

I had the same question about Jacob Blake since he had an active arrest warrant when he was shot by police. Does he go straight from the hospital to jail? I just read he’s handcuffed to his hospital bed so we’ll see.

Police are civilians.
Not in the sense of American military compared to the average citizen. Please do not try to derail the topic here. Police are afforded certain protections that the average citizen is not, that is a well known difference but not the question at hand.

Re: Shooting dog in self defense - Civil Immunity

Some people pay $5k to $10k for a purebred dog, not to mention everything else a lawyer could add on such as mental anguish, pain and suffering. I don’t happen to have that amount laying around hence why I’m concerned with a civil suit.

Shooting dog in self defense - Civil Immunity

I searched the forum and could only find cases where police officers had immunity from civil suit in the event they shot and killed someone’s dog. My question is this; does the statutory immunity from a civil suit if the use of deadly force is justified against another person, also apply in the even...

Re: TX: one dead at shooting during police protest in downtown Austin tonight

Perry’s attorney confirms what srothstein said. According to Broden, Perry dropped off a rideshare customer near Congress Avenue before turning onto Congress Avenue near Fourth Street. Perry, who said he did not know protests were happening that night, found himself surrounded by a group of proteste...

TAM, I trust your opinion. I know it’s still early on but I will be looking for yours and other forum members thoughts on joining this as it progresses. I’m not interested in joining a one off, kookie militia that runs around in the woods. If this is a group that can actually make a difference, then...
