Re: New knife

I thought that was one o’ those blades that, once drawn, had to “taste blood” before returning to its sheath.

Re: TX: Texas Rangers have a new Ballpark, I guess

I'd rather they put together a better baseball team and play in the heat.

Re: Protests - the next level?

I really cannot figure this "defund the police" idea. I read just about everything I come across about it, and what astounds me is that no one is suggesting any alternative. It's as if they expect to fire all the cops and burn down the police stations and somehow, like a phoenix, a new "law complian...

Re: If you could only carry a revolver

I can't believe no one's mentioned Ruger. GP100 and SP101 are great choices, but my own personal favorite is the old Speed-Six, which fits in right between those two. .357 Magnum or .38 Special +P, 2-3/4" or 4" barrel (or 3" if you can find a Border Patrol or Postal Service version [like mine]), acc...

Re: Dallas June 2 - planned protest update

If somebody is outside your house throwing bricks through your windows, is that a legal justification for using deadly force? Daytime or nighttime? First, IANAL, and this is certainly not legal advice. I would not recommend it, but the penal code says deadly force is justified... 'to prevent the ot...

A 19 ... ... 11 ;) Andy, do you mean this? I'm not sure if they make that in 9mm, though. https://t2.kn3.net/taringa/7/2/8/3/1/2/RosenroTXD/030.jpg On a more serious note, I vote Glock 34. Or a CZ P07. Or an HK P30L. OK fine. Beretta 92x. That’s one ugly pistol, but still better lookin’ than any ac...

Re: Kent State 50 Years Ago - Four Dead in Ohio

I recall very conflicted feelings - I was a high school senior headed to college on an ROTC scholarship, and my dad was a long-time member of the Texas Army National Guard.

Re: I’ve got my bazooka, how about you?

Journalists no longer do proper research before writing stories. They are lazy and just regurgitate stories they read on the internet or social media blogs. It is shameful what has happened to journalism. I can’t define journalism, but I know it when I see it, and that ain’t it. The byline for the ...

Hawaii gets to say the same thing, and claim to have the only royal family in the US.
So that’s why they act like a dictatorship when it comes to gun laws!

Re: AG Opinion Request RQ-0341-KP Restrict Sale of Guns

Another example of (mostly, but not all, Democrat) politicians ignoring laws that don't support their agenda. Both El Paso city and county leaders omitted gun stores from their list of "Essential Business" entities, I suspect deliberately. I heard a report that Sheriff's deputies actively closed at ...

How big a cut will LaPierre take?
WSJ says “more than 20%.” But the last time I heard ”pay reductions across the board ’while maintaining current workloads,’” the company was outa business in three months.
