Why are you not supposed to rapid fire in an indoor range?

Most ranges say "no rapid fire." Outdoor ones, too. It's because of all the yahoos who would otherwise show up and spray bullets everywhere because they can't shoot decently.

I have actually gotten away with rapid firing at a couple of ranges, probably because I don't go wildly burn off a whole magazine at once but instead fire 2-5 round strings that all hit the target with reasonable accuracy.

The instructor finally told him (third time) to keep the gun pointed down range and do not wave it around or he was going to escort him OUT. Now his tone of voice came through real clear for all to hear and I was wearing ear plugs and had ear muffs on as well. I think the yo-yo finally heard and knew the instructor meant business. In any case, he didn't pass the shooting test! Everybody there was glad to see that cat leave.
Makes me feel blessed that I have my own range.

Good Lord! How can someone fail the shooting test?

Re: Dangerous shooters at the range

I would write a letter to the management and explain to them why they won't be getting any more money from me.
