Re: 2024 NRA B.O.D. ballot

So do they add up all the votes and the ones with the greatest number are the chosen? That's what I presumed. So if I vote for the special 4, A-D, it's the same as if I vote for A-H except that gives E-H an extra vote as well. Does it work a different way? There's 25 seats open. Top 25 vote getters...

Re: It figures

Yeah, I know I'm the baby of old farts here. Like I said, 2023 was a lousy year, few classes made, and I've grown tired of hauling all the stuff back and forth. So since I was just doing it for pocket money and ammo I just decided to ask the CFO for an increase in my allowance.

It figures

Since 2024 was a LTC cert renewal year, 2023 was not so great business year, and I turned 70 in January, I just figured that it was time to retire from the teaching shooting business. And in the last month and a half I've gotten more inquiries about classes then I did all of last year. I'm pretty su...

Re: Can the USPS get any worse?

Yeah, few years back I placed a small order, USPS tracking said it had arrived but hadn't. I waited two days because it wasn't unusual at our community mailbox for packages to show up 1-2 days after*. Still no package so filed complaint and notified the seller. He decided to reship since it was a sm...

Slovenian schools anti-gun questioner

This was recently posted to Quora. One of the best responses I've ever seen, and by a Slovenian. ‐--------------------- "Why do gun nuts conveniently forget the first 12 words of the Second Amendment to the Constitution?" Greetings Class, My name is Jan and I’m your Slovenian substitute te...

Re: Any bank recommendations?

Haven't been inside a bank in more than 5 years since switching to USAA. Every thing is done on-line. They pay ATM fees when you use another bank's ATM. I understand that the head office in San Antonio is posted though. Never been there. They are great to work with over the phone. Yes, the SA campu...

They should add that they will not release codes to anyone other than the owners of their safes without a warrant or court order directed specifically to their company.
They did. It's on page 3.

Re: TSA Approved Lock or Non-TSA Approved Lock?

ONLY YOU may have the key/combination. TSA locks can be opened by anyone in TSA (and quite a few others). If TSA wants to inspect your firearm, YOU must open the case. I have flown many, many times with firearms, though not in the last 2 years. Unless you're in Indy. The case is examined back in th...

yes it was the app but my concern was the items they have listed and the numerous USES you find deep in the details why list things in caliber vice inches vice mm or maybe thread pitch They know exactly what they're selling. Since they are wholly located within China I doubt they give a rat's patot...

Re: Sign Changes - why?

........ If I'm correct and the TABC signs are being used to force submission by the unknowing public, the TABC SHOULD care. Any time a government agency's name and power are used, it should be done accurately. I see no difference between the scam phone calls that I get with people who claim to be ...

Re: Sign Changes - why?

TABC 61.11 was repealed by passage of HB1927, so the joke's on them (Sprouts, Whole Foods, etc.) and their sign vendor...... :biggrinjester: Perhaps not. The joke is really on the Texas public as the businesses enforce laws that don't exist - and get away with it. TABC seems to diowhat it wants to ...

Re: ID Requests from Law Enforcement

My own thoughts: You can be detained if there is reasonable articulable suspicion that a crime has been committed, is being committed, or is about to be committed. You can be arrested if there is probable cause that you have committed a crime. It's possible that a detention that takes longer than i...
