Re: Pence is doing great but...

....... I probably should have watched longer but when I start yelling at the TV, answer the damn question, it's time to shut it off. Lord yes, shouted this several times. If they'd just answer the question they'd have no trouble doing it in the time allocated, and at least a few more questions cou...

Re: Drones

As a drone hobbyists and Texas LEO, no you cannot shoot down a drone. You own the property not the airspace above it. Now if someone is flying 15ft above your backyard looking around your property, call the police. If I’m flying 200ft above I assure you my camera zoom isn’t like that of a military ...

Re: RV In Florence

I took the trailer up but don't remember where I stayed, been a few years. It was a commercial park though, not too far away. Maybe Country Oasis? Just don't go to Jim Hogg.

"West" Texas? I think of that as central, maybe south central.

Re: Anyone personally know of an open range?

Yes, I conflated .004(b)(2)(A) with .002(2)(A) but these all apply only within a municipality . I don't know why .004 sticks in my head. Jump to the bottom for the county regulation. Sec. 229.002. REGULATION OF DISCHARGE OF WEAPON. A municipality may not apply a regulation relating to the discharge ...

Re: Anyone personally know of an open range?

My backyard is open. Country life is great. I bet it is. My little 2 acres definitely isn't enough but it is a decent compromise, all things considered. SA-TX We have 20 so plenty of shotgun room. Behind us is better then 500 acres. We have plenty of coon and other small varmint hunting I'm looking...

NRA Member Meeting rescheduled

The following was just posted on twitter[1] by the NRA account. I haven't seen anything else about it and can't find anything on the NRA website. It's one day so it's not the expo, must only the member meeting that normally happens on Saturday. =========== The NRA is pleased to announce that the 149...

Re: Replacing Lost Certificates

I do all 100s on my laptop and use a digital signature for my blocks. I print two copies at end of class for signatures, one for student and myself (although DPS has said we're not required to maintain a signed copy). I've had a few requests for replacement and I just send them a copy they can resign.

New one on me

I've heard a lot of people repeat the bad info rampant in the wild we've all discussed here but this is a new one on me. A student messaged me stating that another licences holder had told her that one is not allowed to carry while wearing a mask and wanted to know if that was true. Evidently this q...

Re: Printable Texas Administrative Code

The main reason I started doing that was to track changes in the code, which is why it's marked up. With the law you can look up all previous versions and bills, not so the code far as I can find.
