Re: Perhaps a state issued LTC holster insignia is the answe

State issued sticker like the one that is on your automobile windshield or the back of your motorcycle...stick it on your open-carry holster.
Wouldn't bother me as I would not be open-carrying.

Re: Frustration Over Gun Bills' Progress

I think that Chas is correct...and that others that see things from outside the Legislature's perspective are correct to some degree.
I do appreciate the heads-up from Charles.

Re: Wonder where you fall in the political spectrum.

The quiz failed to even address any of the issues that concern me and would not even remotely classify my political-leanings. I tend to be very Republican on issues of less-government, less-taxes and less-IRS. I tend to be very Libertarian on matters of foreign-affairs, trade and the UN. I tend to b...

Re: Tomball hospital standoff--gun licenses?

On a slightly different note: The article only mentioned a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Texas3006.com has a listing for Tomball Regional medical center, but from the comments on there the sign may not be compliant. I'm wondering if an additional charge of unlawful carry is goi...

Re: 'If you don't believe in climate change you must be sick

Of course mankind contributes to climate change. But the degree of climate change directly attributable to humanity as espoused by Al Gore and the other environmental millionaires is not nearly as high as it is now PC to claim. We just came off of a lesser Ice Age thousands of years ago. In terms of...

Re: Whole Foods in Lakewood (Dallas)-unenforceable 30.06

As of this date, we really do not know if there is such a thing as an "unenforceable" 30.06 sign. I also noticed that one of the doors pictured above have two opposing signs regarding the same issue... They are not opposing signs. The TABC sign does not authorize licensed carry at the loc...

Re: Cinemark vs AMC theaters

I have seen 30.06 signs in AMC and Edwards Cinemas. The point of interest is that they are all uniformly NOT in compliance with the law regarding the size of the letters. They are almost all the size of a common 8-1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper. Has anyone tested the law on this issue yet? If the la...

Re: Cinemark vs AMC theaters

My point was AMC is posted and Cinemark is not. Do you also feel that places with gunbuster signs are posted? Because, as far as I, a CHL holder, am concerned, places with gunbuster signs and AMC or any other place that puts up obviously not 30.06 compliant signage they are not "posted" w...

Re: Look who donated to Wendy Davis

My son is the youngest Neighborhood Team Leader for Wendy Davis and Battleground Texas in the state. Though I disagree with my son and his view of politics, I am quite proud of him taking part in the Democratic process. As a note, I would not write-off Wendy Davis as a viable candidate. Seeing my s...

Re: Look who donated to Wendy Davis

Interesting. I get several emails a day. Plus, I think timing has a lot to do with it. https://www.texastribune.org/2014/07/15/abbott-has-356-million-warchest/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Outside of your close connection through your son, are you hearing or seeing much ...

Re: Look who donated to Wendy Davis

On the contrary, I've been talking to some that are working on Abbott's campaign. I can assure you no one involved is resting on laurels nor are they taking the election for granted. If that were the case, Abbott's war chest wouldn't be what it is. I hope you are correct, sir. I haven't heard diddl...
