Re: Whataburger's Gun Policy (Ugh)..........

For those of you who think that when a business opens their private property doors to the public that they lose some of their private property rights, you are 100% correct. You are also 100% wrong in thinking that they lose control over the gun issue, however. It is all stipulated in the law. How ha...

Re: Recent Hog Hunts - videos

Thanks! And those are some very healthy looking hogs, rotor. I haven't seen a sounder in a while where I am. The neighbors report seeing them, but I think we are just getting spillover with interloper boars. I will be out again this week as I know there are at least a couple more hitting the same pl...

Re: Called - 26 lb. Bobcat (thermal video)

How did you shoot the video? Does your FLIR have a recording capability? What model are you using? I am running and Armasight Zeus 3 thermal scope with a FLIR thermal core (hence 'FLIR' in the display), not to be confused with a FLIR brand scope. I really like the Armasight features over the FLIR f...

Re: Called - 26 lb. Bobcat (thermal video)

I do hog and predator control as part of a wildlife management plan for a buddy's property.

I actually don't shoot coyotes or bobcats on my place, though that may be a future issue for qualifying for a wildlife exemption.

Called - 26 lb. Bobcat (thermal video)

This is the first cat I can say that I called with any real success. I have managed to stop one from going away, but not ever really managed to get one closer. There is a lot of calling between segments when I thought the cat was gone (and video not running...

S&S Precision Rifles, Argyle, TX??

I need a rifle rebarreled and it was suggested that I go to S&S Precision Rifles in Argyle. This is only about 10 minutes from my house, but I have never heard of the place. Does anybody here have any insights into how well they do things at S&S? Here is a link... http://www.sandsprecisionri...

Alternative? Any cell phone should be able to call 911 without a plan. It will be the only number they can call.

Re: IED Discovered On An Overpass In Brownsville

Actually, it wasn't one placard under a bridge, but placards all over the city along with Cambridge and Somerville. It was a movie promotional stunt. Turner Broadcasting paid the bill on that one, some $2 million. Something like 30 of the devices were installed.

Re: Love this quote from Rick Perry

"I never comment on whether I'm carrying a handgun or not," he said. "That's why it's called concealed."
I am not sure the Governor understands what concealed means relative to the state's law.
