"Liberalism is the philosophy of the stupid" I absolutely love this... I hope you don't mind if I use it/post it elsewhere?

Re: ABC 13 - Memorial Villages police chief warns of uptick in gang activity

I live in the aforementioned area and I can tell you that "tagging" is becoming commonplace on many buildings and businesses, where I have never seen it before. It's a shame we can't shoot the dirtbags on sight. But, this is the way of our new world. The criminals have all the rights, and ...

Re: Shooting someone else's dogs-Arrest

middleageruss has it right. This guy failed in the very basic tenant of shutting yer pie-hole after solving the problem. When I hear the animal lovers crying about the cruelty perpetrated on their beloved pet I want to ask them, and how do you feel when the same pet is hit & killed by a car beca...

Re: Deaf CHL killed by a Deputy in Florida

I think the deaf guy put himself in a bad position. He twice ILLEGALLY displayed his weapon. The first time he went there he showed the person working there that he was armed.. The 2nd time he is there the officer physically sees a weapon. It is no ones fault but the deaf guys. A concealed license d...

Re: Need Some Advice On How To Submit Forms To DPS

No doubt about it. Had I NOT paid them when I first attempted the renewal I bet they would be working harder to collect my money. Instead, we pay them up-front, they get your cash, then you are left to fight them every step of the way to get them to do what you paid them for. If any other business w...

Re: Need Some Advice On How To Submit Forms To DPS

Thanks for the replies guys. It really is comforting knowing that I'm not the only one having problems. I was beginning to feel like they were giving me special attention-and not the good kind. I wonder if it would hurt to duplicate my efforts-send everything snail mail, and also send it all electro...

Re: Need Some Advice On How To Submit Forms To DPS

Figured out that you cannot submit more than 1 document at a time on the web site. I basically sent multiple e-mails each consisting of 1 attached document with each. I will never hear back from DPS, so I guess I will wait a little while & then start e-mailing, and calling, to see if I can get a...

Need Some Advice On How To Submit Forms To DPS

Okay, as some of you may know I have been attempting to get my CHL renewed since last November. My expire date came & went in May, and yet I still have not had any success with DPS. They initially stalled my renewal and never sent me notice as to why. Months of calling and getting the recording ...

Re: Taxi driver kills four in Houston

Article does not say that he had been drinking alcohol, but did state that he failed a sobriety test. One can only wonder what intoxicants were in his system... Well we will wonder only until the blood test results come back. Vehicular manslaughter. Ouch, what a way to wind up in prison.

Re: Should I Take This Personally...

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I plan on calling tomorrow to confirm why they are not processing the renewal. I will keep my phone on speaker, at my work station, with a charger plugged in, until such a time that I get a human on the other end of the line.

Re: Should I Take This Personally...

Okay, I get where some of you are coming from. Apparently it is my fault that I did not re-send a document that was provided initially qualifying me for veteran status. Can I at least state my opinion that if I submitted a required document previously-in order to qualify for said status-then they sh...

Should I Take This Personally...

...or is it simply a sign of incompetence? I renewed my CHL license on-line on November 11, 2013. I mailed my paperwork-the item that you are supposed to print out and mail in-the following day. As of today, May 2, 2014 I still have not received, or heard, ANYTHING from DPS. I went & checked on-...
