Re: SBR or pistol

As far as SBR vs. Pistol, as others have said, six of one - half a dozen of another. There are pros and cons to both. I do not have an SBR but will likely pull the stamp for at least one of my pistols to be able to swap for reasons mentioned. Caliber is another topic. I do not own a 5.56 short barre...

Another Colt Defender fan. I did get rid of the rubber grips and installed Alumagrips.

Re: Looking for a safe recommendation

I will echo about getting the biggest safe as possible. Safes are like tents. I have never seen a two-man tent that will sleep two men comfortably. Safes are sized by their maximum capacity if you are a Tetris champion and don't mind unloading it every time you need a gun in the back. Handguns are a...

I run a goldenrod in the safe and use a household type dehumidifier in the room the safe is in. Rarely gets above 30-35%.
I run a humidifier in the house all day and it rarely gets above 30-35%. Y'all just need to move up here to the high plains. Your humidity issues will be solved.

Re: WWB failures

A few months ago I bought 3 of the 200 round boxes. In one box I had 6 rounds with the bullet set too deep. I contacted Winchester, submitted pictures they requested, and they said they’d send me a shipping label to send the faulty rounds back. I haven’t received the label and haven’t heard from the...

Re: HB 1471 - School Volunteer Security Program

Why just retired veterans and LEOs? The only eligibility is that they are veterans or LEOs. Hmmpphh. While I don't disagree with the idea, I'm not impressed with the execution. If we have to have something like this, open it up to any LTC that the school approves. Ideally, open the campus to all LTC...

Seems most schools are not using the Marshall program anyway. They are training and using their LTC staff.

Re: Incredible account of Parkland shooting

As a side note I am appalled that the school would lock the bathrooms. That is barbaric. The 1st and 3rd floor bathroom were locked due to students vaping in them. The second floor bathrooms were opened and monitored. The occupants only had to walk up or down a flight of stair to use the facilities.

2:21:38 - first shot 2:24:35 - first outside officer arrives, Kratz. 24 had been shot. 11 fatally. 2:25:18 - last casualty. 34 total shot, 17 fatally. Less than 4 minutes Kratz could not have gotten to the shooter to stop any of the deaths or injury before it was over even if he had gone straight i...

Re: Incredible account of Parkland shooting

No Excuses, we learned after Columbine that getting in and stopping the shooter must be done quickly, stats says every two seconds somebody dies, wether they had actual training or not, they had guns and the ability to stop Cruz, instead they balled up outside and did nothing! The little psycho bea...

Re: Incredible account of Parkland shooting

Here is the commission report. http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/MSDHS/CommissionReport.pdf It should be required reading for every LEO, school board, administrator, and school guardian. Here is an animation of the shooter's movements and victims. (Whoops, didn't see Howdy already posted) https://www.yout...
