Re: AMMO. Buying, selling or nothing

I’ve added little here out there but early in this nonsense. I’ve shifted my focus to picking up reloading components when the opportunity arises. Just got a shipment of 55 gr bullets, 1000 once fired brass, and powder. Academy had SRPs and I added 2000 to my collection. I can’t say I’m set but I ca...

Re: Rattle can paint job

I have done the same with several of my beater guns. It turns out pretty good and with a little wear it just makes it better.

Re: My “truck” gun is...

I betcha one could argue that a sling carried over/around the shoulder could be considered a shoulder holster. One could make that argument, but I wouldn't want to bet my personal freedom on if being successful. That's the main reason I do not routinely carry an AR pistol in a vehicle. If, for some...

Re: Anybody bought body armor? Thinking about it....

I have the AR500 Testudo with 10"x12" level 3 with buildup. My wife has the Freeman with III plates. We don't plan on trekking across country or storming the Bastille with them. They are more a hunker down or limited movement. Certainly we aren't wearing them everyday. I am considering buying some I...

Re: Instructor email from RSD

It said that students are to upload their LTC-100 or LTC-101 themselves. It goes on to say if the instructor uploads them they are filed in the instructor's account. I assume this causes problems for the students getting their license since the 100/101 never shows up in their account.

Andy C and TAM - Update Please on Form 1 Suppressor Build

Gentlemen, It has been almost 5 years since you built your suppressor. Would you give us an update on how the suppressors you built are holding up? I'm getting back around to wanting to build my own. The price is a large contributing factor but I would like to know how they are holding up for you lo...

Re: Scenic West Texas Roads

If you skip down 54 to 82 you'll go through Cloudcroft, NM. A nice little mountain town. Once out of the mountains of NM you'll be in dry, flat open land. There is a certain beauty to it, but it wears off pretty quickly. You'll probably skip down to 62 at Lovington, NM unless you go south at Artesia...

Re: Man with Gun at Lubbock Protest

The weird thing is everyone pretty much just standing there or even walking towards him. Some appear to be yelling or antagonizing him. Hard to watch on my phone. It just strikes me odd that you don’t see more people running.

Man with Gun at Lubbock Protest

Not much information at the moment. The gun toter and the man who tackled him both arrested. Looks like an idiot with a gun. The way he is holding it I’m not sure but I might reasonably think he was threatening. Not really enough info yet to tell for sure but it doesn’t look good at the moment. http...

Re: Is this legal open carry?

Personally, and IANAL, I think the intent of the law is that the weapon is securely attached to your body in a holster that safely retains it. No stuffing it in your waistband or hanging on a lanyard around your neck Tuco-style. I feel the law-makers didn't get anymore specific for a reason; not to ...

Re: Timing…a Missing Component in Training

I am mindful of Mr. Wallace at the West Freeway congregation. After the assailant pulled the shotgun he didn't appear to be pointing it at anyone (but it is hard to tell from the video) until Mr. Wallace drew attention to himself, told him to put the gun down, and ineffectively tried to draw his own...
