Re: District of Columbia CCL

Thanks for posting this and letting us know how it goes.

I have a buddy currently living in DC and I've been thinking of applying for one just to add to the collection next time I visit.

Re: Gov. Greg Abbott announced a new school safety plan and proposed changes to gun laws

I'm opposed to "red flag" laws, more restrictions on home storage, and criminalizing not reporting a lost or stolen firearm.

Re: Pro basketball player Sterling Brown gets tased for parking violation

If people keep annoying LEO's and saying impolite things to them they are going to get shot or tazed. If a LEO tells you to dance an Irish Jig, your toes better darn well be tapping and you don't need to argue that you're Hispanic so you should be doing a Latin Rumba. Don't argue on the side of the...

Keeping an eye out for "Red Flag" legislation

I saw this today, that atleast part of the ACLU has spoken out against such legislation. http://www.riaclu.org/news/post/aclu-of-rhode-island-raises-red-flags-over-red-flag-gun-legislation The ACLU of Rhode Island today issued a fourteen-page analysis that expresses “great concern” about pending sta...

Re: Bar with no 51% sign

So I visited this establishment with my girlfriend. As we approached I saw their blue "Unlicensed possession" sign. After we entered I noticed there were no food sales. it was essentially a bar or a pub. all they had was different ales and hard liquors. I never planned on coming back to this place ...

State Rep. District 121 runoff election, Matt Beebe

Matt Beebe sounds like a true supporter of gun rights, where as his opponent sounds like an old guard RINO who would support more restrictions. https://www.expressnews.com/news/news_columnists/brian_chasnoff/article/A-split-on-gun-rights-12813460.php Allison, a longtime friend of Straus, believes po...

Texas HHSC employees can carry January 1st

Someone I know at HHSC forwarded me this info. The HHS Human Resources Manual will be revised to bring the agency policy on handguns into compliance with state law. Starting Jan. 1, employees with Concealed Handgun Licenses will be able to bring their weapons to work, concealed or properly holstered...

Concealed carry while employed by the State?

I'm thinking of taking a job with the State are there any legal issues regarding concealed carrying in the office that I should think about? As far as I know none of my work will take me to schools, hospitals, or courts? Anyone think it would be a good idea to notify my new supervisor for some reaso...

Re: HB910/SB17 standoff

IMO the Senate should pass HB910 for licensed open carry and the house should pass SB11 for Campus Carry.

Get this over with.

Re: Campus Carry Holdup

All gun owners in Texas should contribute some funding to Strauss' opponent in the next primary and every one afterwards so that his elections will cost him some money instead of being freebies. Maybe eventually we will be lucky and kick him out or he will back off on stopping pro-gun legislation.
