Joe Straus Letter in the Dallas News

For some reason I got this email from Joe Straus: "Lionel Gutierrez was just driving his family to the movies in El Paso. But he's also a police officer who was off duty at the time of the terror attack of August 3, so when a stranger approached his car and told him what had happened, Gutierrez gave...

NRA Hammered on Fox

Steve Hilton on the "Revolution" just did a scathing report on Wayne LaPierre. It was all about his big home, travel expenses and clothing expenses. The left will surely jump on this.

New Boating Law

Really off topic but I just read starting September 1st, if your boat is <26' and has a kill switch , you MUST have that lanyard attached to your body and the switch must work. $200 fine. I am sure the Constables on Lake Conroe will be watching.

Re: Medicare- The Health Care Standard Everyone Should Have

Get off the advantage plans and go with Plan F. When you first apply for medicare, they can't ask health questions for a supplement plan. After your first year, they CAN ask health questions and deny you coverage if you try to upgrade your plan or change companies. Plan F is a plan F is a plan F. Th...

Re: FWPD Sgt Doesn't know LTC law

We had a Constable in uniform for security at our Church that was in the process of arresting a member for having a concealed handgun. (No signs posted) Another Church member saw the gun when it was accidentally exposed. This was before open carry. The Constable called an assistant DA who confirmed ...

Re: The flood gates open

Numbers never lie and liars use numbers. The article says 39,773 die every year from guns yet past half way through the year 8787 have died. Let's see...8787 x 2 = 17,574. Something doesn't add up. Subtract suicides and gang violence and what is the number. Subtract Chicago, Detroit, Oakland, Newark...

Re: Sen. Graham announces red flag legislation

The people pushing these laws only touch the surface of what they really want. "Of course, we want to keep the guns out of the hands of crazy people, so we need "red flag" laws. Of course we want universal background checks to buy guns" What they don't cover is how many people will be denied due pro...

Re: backpacks or backpack inserts

The Guard Dog one seems to be the best bet. I do not plan to tell her that her backpack is bulletproof. I think this would give her a false sense of security, and there are all sorts of issues I can foresee if she knew this. My plan is to tell her to put her backpack on if it is near her or to use ...
