Re: Renewal ??

If you don’t need to re-take new prints (which most don’t) & you don’t have any criminal history (& I mean ANY), then your renewal won’t take more than a month. If you do have criminal history, then looking at 2-3 months

Re: How to change DL Number on CHL

I know I’m right about what I posted earlier. Just to make things crystal clear, he could add a letter (hand written or typed) to say you want to change the Dl#.

Re: How to change DL Number on CHL

This must be done by mail, you’ll need to mail in a LTC-70 form & check for $25 payable to “Texas DPS”. Include a photocopy of the new DL front & back.

I know for a fact that getting a non-disclosure makes you eligible, & I have an excellent source. 100% fact.

Re: am i eligible?

I’m absolutely 100% accurate. I’m absolutely 100% certain that DPS will approve any charge that has an order of Non-Disclosure.

Re: am i eligible?

Don’t be dumb & apply now as is. Get an Order of Non-Disclosure & then apply & you will be approved 100%- & I’m absolutely certain, not guessing. Also, if you were to get a non-resident out of state permit/license (like Florida for example), you could carry with that here. So, to sum up: 1. Get eith...

Re: am i eligible?

A felony deferred adjudication for Aggravated Assault is a permanent disqualifier to get a Texas LTC. if you get an Order of non-disclosure it would make you eligible. (or an expungement).

Burglary of Habitation (Def Adj) is a permanent disqualified, unless you get an expungement or order of Non Disclosure. You would be wasting your time & money appealing as is.

Re: How to switch from Texas Non-resident LTC to Resident

Send them a copy of your Texas DL, even if just the paper temporary one in with your other items. Or just call and let them know you recently got a Texas DL.

CPR Bill?

I heard a bill passed where a person who gets CPR certified (correct me if wrong), can get their application fees waived? I’m assuming this takes effect Sept 1? And would an applicant send in proof with their other docs? I think it’s HB 1078

Re: Denied CHL

They didn’t “Deny” you, your app got sent to MAB, & by standard protocol they need a letter from a shrink to recommend you have an LTC. They do this pretty much for any person that lists anything psychiatric on their app.
