Re: I don't understand these squatter situations

Actually it does happen in Texas. I don't believe (IANAL) that Castle Doctrine applies in such cases. I don't see why not. If they don't belong in you home and they were never authorized to be there earlier (which is very important), the home owner should be allowed to order them out under threat o...

How far are you willing to travel and how much time can you commit?

Thunder Ranch was a great option when it was in Texas. Now that they're in an anti-gun state without reciprocity, I spend my training dollars elsewhere.

Re: Guns on Campus in Utah

How about tracking down the source of the threat and throwing his butt in a deep dark hole with bars? I don't think they can. Why? Because if you read the transcript of that threat, it sounds like it was made up by someone who doesn't know anything about guns. That supports the theory it was a publ...

I suggest pepper spray.
Unlike the primate chaperone, that won't stop a girl from doing what she wants to do with a boy she likes.

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble. Bureaucracy is like that sometimes. Good luck and hope you get it before 11/10.

Re: City of Houston subpoenas Pastors sermons

I don't understand how a written copy of a sermon should be treated differently than any other written document under the Bill of Rights. Similarly, if there's no written copy, then a pastor would have no more (or less) obligation to create a transcript than I would to create a transcript of somethi...

He did not use deadly force: PC §9.04. THREATS AS JUSTIFIABLE FORCE. The threat of force is justified when the use of force is justified by this chapter. For purposes of this section, a threat to cause death or serious bodily injury by the production of a weapon or otherwise, as long as the actor’s...

Re: CHL expires today

Personally, I think getting an AZ non-resident license is the easiest choice. Even though Utah renewals are the cheapest, it takes 25 years to have the cheaper renewal cost offset the up front training cost. :tiphat: Utah also has the hidden cost of maintaining a Texas CHL but Arizona has no such p...

Re: Part Time LEOs cannot work off duty jobs.

I'd rephrase the above statement to apply to anyone: A person working as __(insert any occupation)__ has only a certain number of hours available for additional employment. If, at the prevailing market rate for that job , he/she can't make enough during those hours, combined with his regular salary...
