And of course:
Mays said she is a friend of [the robber] and he “was in the process of making changes in his life,”
Well! He definitely got some changes.

Re: IL: 13 yo teen killed by police at 2:30 am in alley

Big difference in an isolated frame and real time, real life. I'd recommend that everyone take the time to do a use of force simulation. There is one in Las Vegas at the "Mob Museum" that is open to the public and is administered by off duty LEO's. When I did it I shot a guy with a cell p...

Re: IN: 'Multiple victims' in shooting at FedEx facility in Indianapolis

I'm beginning to have thoughts of the Democrats having set up multiple "Manchurian Candidates" to provide impetus to their gun ban agenda. But then I sometimes think the players in a football huddle may be talking about me. :biggrinjester: On a serious note, my prayers for the family, frie...

Re: 2nd Amendment audit of arm brace

I just watched this video of a fellow doing a "second amendment audit" in Oklahoma when he is confronted by police. I was curious what some opinions on this are. https://fb.watch/4UXUmFST-E/ I have mixed feelings about video audits. In most of the ones I've seen the videographer has an ag...

Re: Any updates?

Texas Senate should be a slam dunk but of course you can’t count on anything. “Permit less” Carry was not in lieutenant governor Patrick’s five priority bills. I hope that’s because he knows it will pass the Senate and he doesn’t have to throw his shoulder behind it, but my pessimistic/realistic si...

Re: The other side, just so you know.

Japan has a higher suicide rate than the US and hanging is the number one choice to end it all. Russia has a suicide rate twice that of the US. Favorite method is again hanging. They need to ban that rope with a high capacity breaking point. Suicidal people use the what is most available.

https://capitol.texas.gov/BillLookup/Text.aspx?LegSess=87R&Bill=HB1927 HB 1927 will be having a floor hearing on Thursday, 4/15/2021. This is Rep Schaefer's version of permitless carry. There are 5 authors and 56 co-authors for this bill at the time of this post. From TSRA: On the same day, lik...

Re: Ammo storage

I think you're good. I've go ammo from the 1960's. I even have some Winchester and Peters .22LR from that era that was under 5 feet of water in a flooded storage facility. Still shoots fine.

Keep an eye out at Cabela's/Bass Pro. Today, Cabela's in Buda, I picked up 5 150 round boxes Herter's 9mm 115 grain FMJ for 29.99 a box. Just gotta catch 'em at the right moment. 5% military discount helps off-set the tax. 5 box limit unless you have a Cabela's card. I got my card today, so next ti...

Re: Coverage of the Derek Chauvin Trial in death of George Floyd

So far, I have only one complaint with Mr. Branca's coverage of the trial. He has stated, repeatedly, that the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Chauvin is guilty, including showing the way he caused the death. I agree with this in theory. That is the principle of our criminal judicia...
