Re: Houston south quadrant breakfast
Saturdays would be OK for me, but I'm retired and have no particular schedule. We can gauge what response we see for restarting and if we meet we and discuss here or at the meetup. Hope you and your family are well. Stay safe.

Re: Houston south quadrant breakfast
I'd be up for August, for the simple reason others may want to take advantage of the July 4th holiday weekend. It may be the first time some have us have had a get together or family outing.

Re: Houston south quadrant breakfast
We could bring sack breakfasts and meet at separate tables at the park! As the emoji says, "just kidding" I have only ventured out three times. (My wife and daughters are like prison wardens) I hope everyone is doing OK and staying healthy. Hoping this ends sooner than later, but only time will tell. Looking forward to that time.

Great food.puma guy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 5:30 pm Well, another month has zipped by and First Friday is almost upon us. I missed last month's get together, but barring rising creeks or alien invasions I will be there. For any auditing this thread we meet at Kelley's Country Cookin' in Pearland on Broadway (FM 518) @ 8:30 AM.
The first time I saw the size of that thing I started laughing. Haha

Re: Houston south quadrant breakfast
SIA, I'm glad you made it down and hope you had a safe trip back. I'm sorry I missed the breakfast. I was headed south from Mansfield Thursday, so we may have been near one another, though I jumped onto Hwy 75 at Leona to miss the construction area. I knew you'd feel welcomed by our group as I was when I visited y'all up north. Hopefully I can make it again when I visit my daughter in Mansfield, sooner than later. Happy trails to you, too! puma guysurprise_i'm_armed wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 5:34 pm It was great to meet all of you who showed up at the breakfast. I played show-and-tell with the Zeis alcohol wipes, my low-cost 400 lumen flashlights, and the number plate thing.
What I also wanted to show all of you was the nice 2nd Amendment challenge coins that my pal flightmare gives out, every time we have a new member attend one of our North Texas breakfasts (Frisco, Arlington, Hudson Oaks). I knew I had put it someplace safe, but couldn't find it to bring in to the breakfast. Wouldn't you know it, as I was getting ready to leave the breakfast venue in Pearland, I found it in my car's cupholder! These safe places are great, until you can't remember them!
As far as LTC breakfasts go, Houston/Pearland and the 3 DFW venues are all going great, with steady attendance.
El Paso doesn't have any. I started a thread for Austin/San Antonio LTC's to get their breakfasts going. Result: crickets.
I tried to get "1st Saturday. Terrell/Tyler/East Texas" going, but that sputtered out quickly.
If forum members in these other areas got their breakfasts going, they would meet a whole new set of friends with whom to trade stories.
Oh well......1st world problems! Happy trails all!

Re: Houston south quadrant breakfast
SIA, I hope you have a safe trip; I know the folks will welcome you. To the Houston group: I visited SIA's group in Arlington a couple of times and had a great time. I took a picture of some of the group - not sure SIA was in it, but it's moot since I can't seem to find it. I wish I could join in, but I will be at the deer lease for the final regular season hunt and closing up. Raise a cup (coffee) for twomillineum! Happy New Year to all!surprise_i'm_armed wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 4:44 pm Well, my Houston friends, I am going to see how the other half live.
I am leaving North Texas this Thursday morning, get to Houston, see a museum downtown or something, spend the night at a motel in/near Pearland, and I will meet with you gentlemen Friday morning at your breakfast.
After the breakfast, I will head back to DFW, since I have to be at work in Plano at 500 PM.
I am looking forward to meeting all who show up! I PM'd with puma guy on the logistics. Looking forward to it!
SIA - Soon to be "representing" North Texas in Htown.
