Re: GA: "Jogger" chased and murdered

Drudge Headline uses word - Hunted

4 Chan is focusing on odd jogging shoes.

It appears to me, son was in back of pick up truck whole time.

Father was standing with truck door open holding rifle vertically.

Man running goes around passenger side of truck. Then changes direction 90 degrees after passing truck and grabs rifle. There is a scuffle.

Gun is fired and man dies.

No idea what was said.

What are laws when someone attempts to take your gun from you by force. What if it’s pointed at you and the person says I’m going to kill you?

Father and son have been arrested charged with murder following national news picking up the story.

I’ll let someone explain the son being arrested for murder. He was in the truck bed. I know when you decide to rob a store with guns and your partner shoots some one, you are charged with murder.

So is chasing after some one, who you believe may have committed a crime, now a crime?

Apparently didn’t go to a grand jury. Georgia Bureau of Investigation made the arrest.

Article says as they struggled for the long gun, the jogger was punching the other man. Apparently the other man was holding the trigger end of the long gun, jogger the business end and the gun fired a third time killing the jogger.

How would this incident have any bearing on what these two men did in this situation? Did they have knowledge of this at the time they decided to chase down this jogger? Even if he was peeking in a window during his run, why do they think it is okay to chase him down with their shotgun instead of call the authorities? I learned in my CHL class that my license does not give me authority to enforce the law. I agree that this was a modern day lynching. They saw what the believed was a criminal and chased him down, shot and killed him, as he tried to protect himself from two armed men.
One attachment is the police report from the murder.

Re: GA: "Jogger" chased and murdered

It made the national network news tonight.

Only story not about Coronavirus.

Showed the video. Clearly he grabs the other man’s shotgun.

Didn’t see him point it at the jogger.

Video guy wasn’t holding video still at all.

Apparently the son who appeared to be riding in the back of the pick up truck, is a former police officer and worked for the local DA who recused himself as well as the next DA.

Better to call 911 and let police do police work, especially when it wasn’t you who may or may not have been burglared.

Re: GA: "Jogger" chased and murdered

Boston Globe newspaper referred to it as a lynching.

I haven’t watched the video. Did at any point the 2 men in the pick up point their guns at the man who was killed before he swatted at the shotgun?

Pointing a gun at someone you want to talk to in Texas will get you shot a lot of times.

I was not sure whose family. The two men who went after the jogger/burglar/trespasser are from the same family.

So I looked up the lawyer.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2 ... -policing/

He wants to change policing.

In other things I have read:

Apparently there is video of the shooting, taken by a third person who was part of the chase.

Georgia has a citizen arrest law.

There apparently may be video showing the break ins or trespassing or the dead man jogging before.

The family is upset the Coronavirus has not allowed them to have protest marches and it has also kept it out of the national news for now.

His seemed as biased in the other direction as the liberal MSM.

Not a lot of facts other than the two men say he attacked the other one and the other shot to defend him.

He also said it has been reviewed by someone and no charges have been filed.

It didn’t say if the men were concealed carrying or were openly pointing them in the direction of the dead man.

It seemed to indicate Georgia law was on their side, but gave no specifics.

They may have said they recognized the man from recent burglaries. OK. Better eye witnesses than I am.

Young man lived with his mother. Played football in high school. No mention of where he worked. Liked to stay in shape thus the running. He has a past record. Brought a handgun to a football game. May have mental issues.

The New York Times has a surprisingly even handed story.

Three DA’s have seen it. Everyone has recused themselves.

The one man was legally open carrying a shotgun. He was the one supposedly attacked, by the dead man. But he may have been shot with the shotgun twice. No mention what kind of shotgun. That could be important.

Re: GA: "Jogger" chased and murdered

Seems if the jogger was carrying construction materials on his person or carrying jewelry from a recent robbery that would be in the story.

Otherwise what would the two men with guns be doing?

Hold him for police to come and arrest him for what?

Trespassing maybe? Was the construction site posted?

Sounds very sketchy?

GA: "Jogger" chased and murdered

https://news.yahoo.com/black-georgia-ma ... 51293.html

A man out jogging was chased after and shot to death by two other men. Police have not made an arrest and know who the vigilantes are.

Racial stereotyping apparently occurred.
