Re: TX:The mean streets of Houston - Bystander kills fake robber

https://nypost.com/2024/04/09/us-news/t ... sa-scheme/

Bystander stopping a robbery from couple buying gas at a convenience store, shoots and kills the robber. Apparently the robbery was a fake robbery that was staged as a scheme to get a Visas to the US. Witnesses and victims are apparently given US Visas so they can appear as witnesses to a crime.

The guy apparently had been doing this scheme for some time, but this time, a bystander seeing the apparent crime, stepped up and killed him.

Incumbent Houston District Attorney Kim Ogg lost her Democratic primary to former subordinate Sean Teare. Ogg's election in 2016 made her the first democratic DA elected in Houston in nearly 40 years.

Teare worked as the division supervisor for the Vehicular Crimes Division of the DA's office before leaving in February to run against her. He received the backing of one of Houston's most powerful political figures, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo.

73s
Teare is Soros funded and clearly outspent anyone other campaign for any position in Harris County in this primary. I give it a 0.01% chance that a Republican challenger can win in November. I beat my head against the nearest wall when Ogg won in 2016, but Teare will be even worse. Hard-line liberal who bends the knee to George Soros "progressiveness." If we think things in the county regarding criminal prosecution are bad now, it's gonna get worse if/when Teare wins.
Houston had escaped the bad DA’s like LA, Chicago and NewYork. Ogg did a good job, now she has been thrown out by a Soros supported someone who accused her of being a Republican for criticizing judges who let everyone out with no bail.

https://www.houstonpress.com/news/kim-o ... e-17615629

She lost big. And now we find out, they wouldn’t let Ogg vote on Election Day, because she had already voted in early voting. Sure glad all those election snafus were fixed from the last election, like running out of blank ballot paper at all the polling places in conservative areas in Houston in 2022.

Panhandler terrorizing drivers stuck in traffic by busting car windows with crow bar gets released with out bond.
On Wednesday, Harris County Criminal Court hearing officer Courtney St. Julian signed off on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.... In Mann's case, this included appearing for all scheduled court appearances. But Mann wasn't at his scheduled 9 a.m. hearing on Thursday....

ABC13 called and texted St. Julian to ask why she approved a personal recognizance bond for Mann, who was previously listed as an out-of-state fugitive in 2021.
Just perfect. The border crisis, 19.2% inflation over just 3 years, and all crime everywhere is obviously Trump's fault. Liberal DAs and judges have no responsibility or accountability for the lawlessness in the streets. How exactly did Harris County Criminal Court hearing officer Courtney St. Julian decide that someone already on the books as an out-of-state felon and who was panhandling for change at street corners with the enticement of a crowbar and smashed car windows was perfectly good for a $2,500 personal recognizance bond?

Idiots.
But does this guy with a crow bar rise to deadly force? Judges may be endangering criminals lives by letting them out.

Two teens arrested for murder of clerk over a bag of potato chips.

Clerk followed the robbers in his car, then they started shooting.

https://www.click2houston.com/news/loca ... -of-chips/

Quannel X is involved as he was with the teens when they turned themselves in.

They are saying it was self defense. Did clerk use car as an offensive weapon? Or they were just in fear of their lives because they were being followed by a man in a car?

Robber of potato chips from gas station at night followed by unarmed clerk, no billed by G.J. for shooting and murdering him as he feared from his life.

Existing DA charged him with murder. Maybe didn’t try hard enough with G.J.

His attorney says he needs grief counciling and looks forward to his high school graduation.

Giant shoot out between police and car jacker on I 69 ( US 59) at Chimney Rock. That’s very near Joel Osteen’s mega church. Edit Wrong Chimney Rock is near Sam’s Club. Joel is at Edloe.

Video shows a man pulling a wounded officer to safety during the battle.

Car jacker dies from police bullets.

Re: TX:The mean streets of Houston- 6 die in car wreck downtown

6 people die two more are injured in a car crash in down town Houston at 2am.

https://nypost.com/2023/11/11/sports/ex ... car-crash/

Three former UofH football players were killed.

One car ran a red light, a homeless pedestrian was also believed to have been killed. Hard to get up a lot of speed downtown what with all the lights, but I guess if your running them.
